Its not like he said he wants to stay and help us. He wants to go so if a reasonable offer comes in we may have to let him go.
We've done this every transfer window for the last few years. Adel's agent witters on about him wanting to go and how much of a demand there is for him, and then he stays.

Hope it happens like that again.

deepcut hoop, just wonder what you think will be different this year with him, last year he started late never got really match fit and as has been stated 2 of our wins were obtained without him.this year started late not fit as season starts is there a pattern emerging.

I think the players he would face this year are markedly less capable of dealing with his playing style.

Unless his attitude improves, its time for him to move on.

Lets just imagine he does somehow recapture his form and we build a team around his strops again. We get promoted, and then what? We would need to buy another new team again as its been proven a team built around Adel in the Prem does not work! We need to rebuild the team now and if Adel cant fit in, then its thank you for the memories and goodbye

I totally understand that people don't like his attitude and that he is a disruptive influence when he has to be mollycoddled and treated differently to the rest of the team.

I hate that people are completely dismissing his ability and the contribution he has made to the club over the last few years though. We will not see a player who can quicken the pulse with sheer skill and audacity at QPR for years, and it would be terribly sad to see him leave.

How many players would have a hand in close to 40 goals in a league winning season, win the league's POTY, and yet not win the club POTY that season?

What's the point of keeping Taarabt If he doesn't want to stay and keeps turning up late to training? Yes he's got the skills but nobody is bigger than the club.

Bad attitudes were part of our problems last season. Taarabt was part of it. He only played 2-3 good games. He lacks consistency.

I'd put up with his tantrums because he's so effective in this division. All the Adel hater's make me laugh cos they will be the first to complain when we are missing all his good traits irrespective of his bad traits.

I tend to agree with you. Taaraabt may not have excelled in the Premier League, but if he could repeat his previous Championship form, he would be a frequent match winner for the team. Also with a player like Austin in attack, QPR would have an exciting attack capable of scoring in every game.

That was in the Premier League, but QPR will now be playing Championship football and he would be playing against players with lesser ability.

Unless he is replaced with another good creative attacker who can unlock defences and score goals, QPR will be just another fairly ordinary side with a chance of winning promotion, making the play offs or just making up the numbers.

Yes, Austin scored loads last season, but it didn't help an ordinary Burnley side to win promotion or even get close.

But if he does people will eat their words. He'd destroy this division, it doesn't matter what happened in the PL the past 2 seasons. As the saying goes "you don't know what you've got til it's gone".
He won't go because no one, other than a few deluded individuals on here, wants him!

I say give him until January. If we get the Adel who won the Championship pretty much on his own then its like having a Championship Messi in our team and we should keep him. But if we get the Premier Lge Adel then we should sell him in January. Providing someone wants him. I cant understand why Arsenal dont go for him. I think he would suit them

If that happens, QPR can then sell him. If he stays and plays, QPR have an outstanding chance of going straight back up. If he goes QPR will just be another Championship club with a bit of a Premier League History, like Birmingham, Leciester, Middlesboro, Nottingham Forest, Derby etc.
