Not your usual pundit guff but a real insight into what kind of player we've got technically & I think we've got one hell of a player here. I don't want to put pressure on the lad instantly but I honestly feel we could have our first 20 goal a season man since Andy Thompson way back when.

Austin reminds me a lot of Teddy Sheringham
"When you went to the corner and saw our fans celebrating the way they were you just wanted to be part of it" - Shaun Derry after we beat the scum 1-0

Been watching his goals from last season and there's a mixture.
Seems good at scoring with his head and from long range as well.
If he gets the ball anywhere near goal he has confidence in himself to try for goal.

            Thanks Myu.

Agreed chaps a real all rounder. Natural finisher at the top of his game, a real coup. I'm so excited about this signing & his stats speak for themselves.

Praying we give him the service he clearly thrives on & if we do he will eat up chances.

No pressure at all Ric, he scored 20 in his first 17 games for Burnley.

Did he get injured after that though, as he didn't score many more after that?

Well if we also consider that @QPR_Stats states Austin took 5 games to score his 1st goal for both Swindon and Burnley, he must have got off to a slow start and then got 20 in the next 13 games!

I could handle that kind of return but also means the fans mustn't get on his back if he takes a few games to get into his stride and our players learn how to use his skills in the best way. They've not been used to having someone like him up front!

Yep, we can't expect too much too soon. The very fact that he could be on the pitch causing a threat, rather than lumbering around aimlessly, will be a start. The goals will follow, either from him, or others whilst the opposition are worrying about him.
