The Daily Mail actually have people very close to our hierarchy

Also how is it a contradiction? If talks weren't ongoing then he would have signed!

If he was close then it would be smaller details, we had on going talks with Hooper ... For 2 & a half months. That's not close to me
      Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
      And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

If we sign him I will change my forecast from relegation to just about surviving.
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

          Huge contradiction
Read the Mail link....its says close, not closing! Huge difference in meaning!

When it comes to being "close" to signing a player we're in a league of our own.

Apparently Austin has been seen at ground/training by a fan having his medical. Agent would not allow photo as loose ends still to tie up (Twitter)
