  • Legendary Status

    Hi Guys,

Long time reader, thought id get in involved more rather than continuosly lurk!

Out of curiosity, what order do you rate these modern heros in terms of your favouritism(for lack of a better word) for them and in your opinion would any of them deserve the title of QPR legend?

The list of players: Marc Bircham, Paul Furlong, Lee Cook, Adel Taarabt, Kevin Gallen (Please add any recent ones I have missed)

    My ranking:

    Adel Taarabt
    Lee Cook
    Kevin Gallen
    Marc Bircham
    Paul Furlong

Sadly for me out of the list, the only player that could have gone down with the likes of Sir Les, Marsh and Bowles in the Legend status would have been Adel but his attitude and petulance has ruined that.

    What do you guys think?!

None of those names would be regarded as 'legends', I'm afraid!

Lee Cook was a key player for us before he went to Fulham, him and Dexter saved us from relegation. Qpr through and through as well.

During the time I've seen QPR, I'd go for:

                        Bowles
                        Francis
                        Macca
                        Sir Les
On a personal note, Trevor Sinclair, for how he helped a club I used to manage.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

I think people are too tight with the word legend, all of them players have been a big part of big events in the clubs history and all of them will be remembered for a long time because of it... I'd say that counts as legendary status

they may not of been as talented or as iconic as marsh and bowles but certainly without birch, cook, gallen and furs we would still be playing in league 1

Maybe Lee Cook out of that but purely for what he did off the pitch not on it...thats about it.
