With the greatest of respect there's a twitter thread up the top
I don't mean to sound rude but if people posted everything on twitter on a forum it would be silly as twitter quite frankly is poor for rumoursUnder Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
And many more mistakes
LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Hull agreed a deal in total for 4.5 million.
Obviously we're arsing around because of his failed medical and are probably offering something pathetic up front and the rest based on instalments.
We need Austin, as simple as that and we should put up or shut up. If his medical shows bad signs then go back to Burnley with a revised offer or call off the deal, at least get him down to have a look at him.

I have to be honest and say I prefer the approach we have adopted this close season. We cant have it all ways, last season we all complained we have been taken to the cleaners and far to often rolled over had our bellies tickled and just paid what has been asked.
Fans asked for TF and board to learn from their mistakes and we appear to have done so. It might result in deals not getting closed but that's part and parcel of ensuring you get the best deal for the club.
We need a striker but that to me don't mean we should pay over the odds. A fair price with add ons for appearance, given his alleged condition, is the way to structure this deal in my book

Charlie Austin has NOT moved to #NFFC yet. No deal close. Burnley want at least £3.5m. Forest not paying it. #TwitterClarets
We need to learn our lesson with this one. Get it all done and dusted, before we start saying how many goals he is going to score for us. The failed medical is a massive worry though.

the same mistake as last year. also, we must be informed of everything without any info being given away to other teams
