We need to put in a bid that is acceptable for Burnley (Hull bid around 4.5m). Charlie will then travel down to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical. If the medical shows bad results like Hull's did then we go back to Burnley and try to agree a new fee, if that can't be agreed then the deal will be cancelled.
The list of players failing medicals at one club then passing at another is endless. This situation is identical to Demba Ba. He failed a medical at Stoke because his knee was a 'ticking time bomb'. Ba has since been near enough fully fit every week for two and a half years and passed medicals at West Ham, Newcastle and Chelsea.
Given Austin's medical at Hull there is now always going to be a question over his knee which is a worry but it's up to our medical team to give a recommendation.
