    I think this is an old article, as it has become apparent in the last week that it is unlikely that Barton is going to Marseille. OK the club needs to move players on but not under the conditions he apparently wants.

      As said before its one of the hardest things for a club to shift underperforming players on big wages and long contracts. We've already done well to move on quite a few since the season ended.

            no one has seen enough from the 'want out' players to want to buy them and pay the wages they are on.

            The best thing they could do for their careers is knuckle down and put in performances to make managers take notice.
