Harry Redknapp pulls no punches: the squad he has at Queens Park Rangers is not fit for purpose and he is not prepared to accept that any longer.
“We need to make changes and shift some players. We need to change the whole attitude, really, at the club, and the only way we can do that is to bring in some new players, the right type of lads who will appreciate being at QPR.
I just think there are some players here who are on good contracts and who are just content to go along with it. They have been allowed to get away with doing what they want, when they want and that’s not going to get us anywhere. We need to change them and do it now.
There are a few here who have got the wrong attitude and that’s the problem. If they want to move I’m happy to move any of them. If they come and say ‘nah, I want to play for a bigger club’ then get someone to pick the phone up because we’ll do business. We want to sell them and make room for those who want to be here.”

Putting faith in home-grown heroes
Harry Redknapp is launching his bid to bounce straight back up to the Premier League with a team that will have a ‘Made In Britain And Ireland’ tag on it – but probably without Joey Barton.
Redknapp said:
“Joey has been training well, but I think he wants Marseille again and Champions League football.
I want players willing to go the extra mile, players who arrive each morning and talk about the game.
I got fed up with some believing Real Madrid or Barcelona wanted them. But I haven’t had a call from either club.” After losing out to Norwich over Celtic striker Gary Hooper, and Jamie Mackie joining rivals Nottingham Forest, Redknapp reckons he will probably need up to five more new faces – probably all to be British or Irish.
I am particularly pleased with Richard Dunne. What a player he has been, three times Manchester City player of the year and another who knows the ropes.”
