AGree with the sentiments of reducing prices to the "fan" of the club, but when I mentioned about advertising games in the Standard or in train stations, most seemed up for it. This is going to attract a "neutral" shirley?

Okay, lets assume our own fans will come back with a reduction, how is it done, not to upset the current season ticket holders and regulars?

Don;'t get me wrong, great for a supporter who is skint to pay a tenner for example, but how would the fan who pays £20 or £30 feel?

    Any ideas,,,,,,,,,,

How do we feel this ground up and make it a fortress again? I do think it comes with results on the pitch, but could be wrong.

    So, what is the alternative?

I don't think there is any substitute for success. All other offers reductions and gimicks don't work long term plain and simples. A winning team is the only thing that really pulls the punters in. Stats prove this wherever you look. Take Foolham as a great example!!!

They got 8,000 crowds 20 years ago and Fulham were getting 3,000 max

Pete, you are spot on. Don't even try and question yourself.

Filling the stadium is all about success. If QPR start doing well over the next few months MANY (not all) of the fans that cannot afford to pay will all of a sudden find the money. The same goes to those so called fans that are making a stand this season by refusing to pay the higher prices.

I can see with my own eyes that the board of our club has made a large investment in our club. SLowly, but surely, we are starting to put a very good team together. We ask these guys to invest before we, the fans, see the results, but when the board asks us to do the same, we throw our toys out of the pram.

For many, this is not about money. This is about a number of spoilt people wanting cheaper prices on one hand and calling the board all names under the sum on the other.

          Absolutely shocking.

I so hope for the guys, even moreso than me as a supporter, that they get success. They deserve it and I tell you i will be one of the first to shove it down the throats of those that continuously whined over the past couple of years.

I disagree slightly, you do have genuine fans who cannot afford it.

Its hard to dicepher who, as your are right some will jump on the bandwagon and find the money, at the first sight of success.

Neutral end, advertising in Standard, getting the old fans back. Its really quite simple, good team on the pitch, decent ticket prices and getting rid of ''gold'' for upper loft which is really quite a **** view. The masses will soon flock back to LR just like they did in the promotion season :boss:

Pete, I should have made it clear that i do sympathise with those that genuinely cannot afford to go, however, hopefully their circumstances will hopefully improve in the not too distant future and they can then come back on board.

The club, however, is bigger than any one individual and it is fair to say that there maybe times in most of our lives when it is not possible to afford the admission fee but the club must still try and move on.

I stress though, that we are a small club and we have to pay a premium as a result. We cannot expect the board to do all the hard work.

I go back to a point i made a long time ago. The lack of fans at QPR is more to do with value for money as opposed lack of money.

Never thought i would ever read QPR fans advocating a neutral stand at Loftus road.

there has been violence in neutral area at fulham, fact.

there would be at many games where its important or a derby type game...
