I highly doubt Newcastle would pay 100% of his wages and a £1m loan fee. That is dream land.

That is exactly why HR stated that loaning out Remy is pointless for QPR.

Cant afford his wages?! Are you kidding?.....our midfield players alone are on over 500 grand a week all together....why couldnt our multi billionaire owners afford an 8 million quid striker that COULD see us into the PL?
if he stays he will be the champs top goal scorer...i just doubt he will be here.

honestly not sure he'll be so effective in the championship (reckon he'll get kicked way too much) and i'm not sure we can afford his wages.

He's defo off somewhere as he hasn't featured at all and there is never any mention of him.

I think QPR are keeping their options open.

Honestly, are we that well off for strikers, we could afford to let Loic Remy go on loan to Nooooocassssssellll?

          I don't think so.

Until we get at least 2 half-decent strikers in, I would think it more prudent for QPR to keep hold of Remy.

you're not wrong... BUT, sadly Remy is a different type.

He is hard to keep hold off sadly, we should have kept Mackie and DJ for the time being because if keeping Mackie was hard Remy will be even harder!!

I don't really see any way this would make sense for us.

IF and it's a big IF we let him go on loan, Newcastle should pay a quarter of what we paid for him ie four-year contract £8m transfer fee for example, plus a year's wage if he goes or a season. £2m plus wages.

Loaning players just reduces their value because their contracts are run down.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

It would make sense if he went there and scored 25 goals and then would be worth 30 million!

I can't believe people want to loan him out, why?

Do you really think Newcastle would just be happy to pay a big loan fee and all his wages and not have a clause to snap him up for a certain price in the summer? People saying let him go and he'll score goals then get 30 million for him, what world do you live in?

Newcastle only want him on loan because of his personal circumstances and if the worst happens they can send him back to us with no damage their end. As a few have said on here, they either buy him or do one.

We need Remy and he's under contract, until someone wants him permanently and is willing to match his buy out clause, he should stay.

Well said mate. It is a ludicrous idea.

Don't think there was a clause in his contract saying that if he got arrested on suspicion of gang rape, that we should entertain the idea of letting anybody else have him on the cheap, whilst we get royally stitched up again.

Having said that, no doubt just more brilliant informed journalism.

I know I am in the minority, but I am really not sure about Remy playing for us in the Championship. I know he did well for us for half a season in the Premiership but what worries me is that he is prone to injury and I can see no way he will play every game. The Championship is not like the Premiership and I am not sure he will be able to adapt. Additionally from what I have read, he seems to have some psychological problems (can't play if he is not in the right mood or if he has the slightest injury).

Think Pardews French Revolution will crashing down around him this season

Yeah hope so, already been talk of the french v the rest in the dressing room, although they do have mild mannered, intelligent, ex-manager of the crazy gang Kinnear who i'm sure will pour oil on troubled waters

                              Big gamble though.
