Clear Harry's blaming Beard for this one. I think he had the same complaint with regard to M'Vila... or maybe it was someone else? As for people saying Harry's talking rubbish, deals at this club do seem to take an inordinate amount of time to complete.

Perhaps Harry is angry that Beard, having taken a huge amount of stick for historically handing out 4 year contracts on large wages, is no longer doing so. Hooper obviously thought he was worth that and held out (for at least 2.5 months it seems) and along came Norwich and offered him a 4 year contract and god knows what in wages.

Now if we'd have matched that...would the same people currently giving Beard grief for 'taking too long over the personal terms' be saying 'haven't we learned anything from these 4 year contracts, etc....'?

He can't win! I personally think he did the right thing.

I agree. It sounds like we could have finished up with another mercenary who was just here for the money. Maybe a lucky escape.

Harry talks utter ******** and don't believe a word of what comes out of that blokes mouth, not only is he a con man he is a complete clown of a manager.

He seems to want to slate the players now the board, why didn't he fu ck off? Oh because no premier league offer was there.

The reason hooper left was because he actually had a premier league offer, something he was clearly pushing for after a very generous offer from us.
Harry coming across very jealous and a bitter and silly old fool.

I am not a Tony fan and Phil Beard is clearly out of his depth but for harry to come out with this utter garbage is embarrassing, and clearly loves to remind us how uneducated he is.
            Totally agree mate.

We all wanted the club not to be treated like mugs and if Hooper wanted more than what we were prepared to pay him then fair play. Lennon said himself that Celtic couldnt match the financial rewards offered and they are a CL club !

Very succinctly put.............basically the same people will find fault whatever the outcome and always looking to have a good old whine......................as you rightly say, he cannot win!!

I'm not blaming anyone other than the club as a whole for 2 reasons
                    1) getting relegated makes us less attractive to anyone, especially a player who thinks he could get into the England squad in a world cup year. Whether he's good enough remains to be seen. His goals will ultimately determine this
                    2) Our well publicised laughable goings on, do make us attractive to any club.

I don't blame Harry, Beard, TF or the player. None of us on this forum would rush to join Rangers over a PL club, let's be honest.
One other thing, Norwich came up with us and have gone forwards as a club, we have gone backwards

At the end of the day just maybe TF didn't want to shell out another £5m on a player who wanted probably £40k per week +

It is a lot of money for a club our size and maybe TF has learned his lessons and wants more value for money - and I don't blame him.

I think there is more going on behind closed doors than we know.

Pretty much as I see it too, as with Bridge, TF not prepared to hand out silly contracts anymore and IF Hooper wanted to come to Rangers then why didn't he. I have supported HR all the way but why does he keep putting his foot in it blaming the board ? Unfortunately Harry they listened to Hughes and hopefully have learnt their lesson, so get on and do your job and get back wheeling and dealing for some good value players like Karl Henry !

It could have also been under the understanding that we have to get rid of certain players before we can buy. In my view if we had sold Cesar, Boswinga, Barton, Remy quicker then things may have been different.

The problem with harry is he is a manager that loves spending big money because he is used to it, which is why I don't think QPR is really right for him now, especially if TF is being more shewd on who he buys/signs etc.
