Can you explain the issues he was meant to address mate, interested about this comment!!
Well, two proper goalscoring strikers to start with. Wasted far too much time on a bloke that scored a few in Scotland.
Then there is the fact that Barton is still hanging around like a bad smell. Should have spoken to him properly and decided if he is staying and towing the line, or gone.
Too many players who it would appear are not in his long term plans, still on the payroll, bleeding us dry.
I could go on and on but it's just too depressing.
Suffice to say that even by his own admission, he wants 4 or 5 more additions. We are just one week away from one of the most critical seasons we might face in many a year. What has the bloke been doing all summer, if it wasn't ensuring that we start the new campaign with a squad he is entirely happy with, who have had a decent amount of time to get to know each other before they start playing meaningful matches.
A large number of pundits thought that we should win this league comfortably, no excuses. The bookies made us big favourites. Reason being, we potentially had a better squad by far than our rivals.
Hope he proves me very wrong, I really do. But personally, I never wanted him here, don't rate him, seen enough over the second half of last season to have those fears confirmed and now have to listen to him opening his big gob, telling us things like he doesn't know if Remy will be here and that Taraabt has trained twice.

You are right of course about what in an ideal world we would have liked to happen. And I am far from Harry's biggest fan. But in fairness it is very easy to say he "should" have off-loaded Barton etc. Who is going to pay him £70,000 a week or whatever he is demanding? The board did say (and understandably so) that they would expect to lose some players before we buy, but given the wages and the shockingly poor performance of most of those players, very few are shifting. So I'm not sure there are very many easy solutions. Probably lots of clubs are waiting to see if we blink in the hope that we will subsidise the wages of a lot of our high earners we want to move on. Plus we now have a reputation for being money bags so probably clubs and agents start off talking silly money, all of which takes time to negotiate down. I'm not defending everything that the club does and of course we are paying the price for past mistakes which in turn were trying to cover up even earlier mistakes - but we are where we are.

Fair points mate.
Re. Barton, I think the mistake was made last pre-season.
Personally, whilst acknowledging what he had done was wrong, I feel we should have either backed him fully and allowed him to play his way into contention as soon as possible, or accepted his offer to terminate his contract.
Sending him over to France, basically saying that we don't want him was never going to have a positive outcome. Big mistake by the board, no doubt influenced by Hughes.
We just never seem to be able to do anything correctly.

I get what your saying mate, but... How is most of this Harrys fault.
1. He may choose who he signs but he doesnt do the business
2. He may choose who wants to sell, but he doesnt do the selling
3. He does want strikers but sadly he went to Norwich, again probably the boards fault for not getting it done quicker?
We do exactly the same every transfer window and start the season the same way every year. We should all be used to this by now. We're not a well run club.

Once he has identified who he wants, either the player wants to play for him or he doesn't. ould appear that most aren't fussed and on his track record over recent years, I can fully understand why.
He is supposed to have experience. That is what he is being paid a large sum to do. Last season showed he is inept.
Would you as manager, hang around for two and a half months in an attempt at purchasing a player who you have told the board you really want? Bloke just lies to cover up his shortcomings.

Brighton I get what your saying and you are right.
But Harry aint to blame for deals not working and going through.
He aint the one spending the cash or dealing with contracts.
Im sorry but his fault will be if his signings dont work and if we dont go up.

Not trying to be argumentative at all, but he should have either done the Hooper deal straight away, or moved on. Blaming someone else for a delay of about 10 weeks is a pathetic excuse.
Hopefully, he will prove me totally wrong, in which case I will hold my hands up.

Brighton, no argument at all mate.
Im all for what you are saying but who you are blaming sadly is wrong IMO.
Harry is a manager, and he said before that he doesnt do the deals.
Yeah in hindsight we could say Harry should have said lets move on if he aint happening, but he didnt probably because he really wanted and felt we would get him.
Sadly I think Mr PB is to blame and thats that.
Harry has every right to be ****ed of with the board for not getting the deal done quickly and at all because as you said we need strikers BEFORE NEXT WEEK!
Just think blaming him isnt necessarily correct overall...
