  • MILES off Norwich & Swansea now.. How did we get it SO wrong!

Probably an easy but differing answer for most Rangers on how we got it SO wrong.

But i sit back now and look at the teams who came up with us.. Norwich & Swansea, and think how far off them we are in terms of everything.
The easy decision for Hooper choosing Norwich over us shows this..

These are the teams that finished behind us in the league when we came up!
and Now were looking at Swansea winning the Carling cup, having Europa league football and signing quality quality european players.
And look at Norwich young quality signings in Redmond, Olsson, V Wolfswinkel, Leroy Fer.
They beat us to Hooper, in the space of 24 hrs when 2 seasons ago he would of joined us over Norwich.. Easily!

I dont think Swansea or Norwich have made a bad signing since they came up with us, where as we have made several! Unbelievable really.
Fernandes and Co have a lot to learn for the future and they should take note of Norwich and Swansea who we were beating comfortably 4-0 @ home 3 years
    ago.

I know it is only preseason but I actually watched Norwich play Portland Timbers the other night and I thought they looked terrible. Much worse than last season when they had the players they brought up from the Championship. I suppose it is possible the new players haven't gelled yet.

Well because we had too many managers and too many big ideas. We had a chairman in Fernandes that was very naive and didn't really understand how football works.

QPR never bought any youngsters that we could build a team around, instead we bought all named players that were either past it or had a career. Even now we are still signing over 30's and not planning for the future.

As much as I like him I blame Fernandes, he was just the wrong person for the club also Harry still in my view isn't the right person for us and I think he will be gone before end of the season.

Mark Hughes and his motley crew, bad buys in both attitude and financial outlay. I don't blame the board, I find it hard to believe the board signed these players and didn't say to MH, we are signing A/B player and we are paying C/B this amount on this length of contract, do you agree?
            Kept the faith!

Ridiculous comment. How has Harry Stiles had any bearing on our football club?!

Think the problem lies with Tango and Cash refusing to stump up any money for transfers in the summer window when we'd been promoted as they waited for a takeover. Warnock has said he had a deal in place for Ashley Williams and no doubt Routledge as well. The right signings made in that period would of set us up much better for the premier league with a together squad and simple wage structure. Instead it was all thrown away with panic buys and ridiculous wages on deadline day. A policy which unfortunately stayed with us in the following windows too.

Yeah, changed my mind now. The whole problem was never signing him. Thats what cost us.

they bought well-in a decent amount of time before the season started.
they never fell into the trap of going for big names and paying huge wages-it seems to me they actually done their homework.
they done their business under the rader-not telling every f @cker before its done.

All started when TF joined late in the window and Warnock had to panic buy..all down hill from there. If TF came in as soon as we gained promotion and Warnock got in who he wanted we'd be competing with them 2 now.
