    Of course not!

But he isn't immune to criticism and genuine questions on his tenure.

Uncle tony is the best thing to ever happen to the club, he's one of us and is a shrewd shrewd man.
How has this happened i wonder? i just dont understand how he gets away with it with some fans. Are the fans worried that if they upset him he will walk and leave us in the sh1t he has created? Just dont get where all the love is coming from.A weekly dose of patronising tweets and he has become a dear friend to some!

      • Obviously some 'fans' don't remember the collection buckets, administration, the proposed merger and losing shares. That's not going to happen to us again while the present board is in place.

People seem to want TF to fail, which is disgraceful. If he fails, our club fails, simple.

Ok, so we've had a bad couple of years, but what the board is trying to do is to build a successful future for us. A new academy/training ground, a new stadium, and squad investment. The work being done is going to take years to come to fruition, but a few people want instant glory. It doesn't work like that.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

        • I give up! I'm off out of here.

People will soon crawl under their rock when TF gets it right, or even worse, walks! People seem to forget the Flavio days, 90% increases on tickets and spending nothing on players. Interfering with the team, signing players he wanted not the manager, sacking managers left, right and centre.

Or the years before that, struggling to pay bills, going bust in a matter of hours, playing in League One.

Enjoy criticising the best chairman we've had in decades. He's made mistakes, we all know that but to blame him for everything is unbelievable.

I'm seeing a few similarities here. That ended up well. Doesn't mean they were good Chairmen (though Jordan did have his good points in fairness)

Fernandes has delivered NOTHING. 2 years in and we're worse off, both financially and on the playing side, than when he took over despite throwing millions and millions at mercenary players and agents who couldn't wipe the rictus grins off their faces when they knew that had to negotiate with Beard - who apparently makes Ridsdale look like Warren Buffet. Hardly a ringing success.

The Club has had no stability under Fernandes, no structure and no direction. It is a castle built on sand. Training Ground? Minimum 3 years away. Stadium? Don't make me laugh.

Nothing idiotic about pointing out the glaringly obvious.
If you think Tony is such a bad chairman what do you think should be done? It is very easy to make destructive criticisms but much more difficult to make constructive suggestions.

I don't think Tony has ever announced anything on twitter before it is official, although he might have hinted at something.
Is this official enough for you Jane? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23463902?

well they don't work for the club, and its up to us how much we believe
But what you say applies to every club in the premier league including us (now demoted). There are not many signings nowadays which take anyone by surprise because the power has shifted from clubs to players.

If Surez signs for Arsenal it wont be a surprise, If Febregas goes Man Utd it wont be a surprise as Sky are all over it its not just us its everyone but I feel everyone gets hung up on us like we do our business publically when we are no worse then any other club. What makes the business public is Sky because they have a 24hr news station which they need to justify and fill space on hence why such a big deal is made of the transfer window. If they did not dig and break the news they would have a news channel which reported nothing.

To me the leaks come from players and agents as its in there interest to have everyone knowing what is going on as it brings others into the market which in turn pushes up there salary if their in demand (Hooper is the example)

I would go as far as to say I would not be surprised if it was revealed at a later date that Sky actually pay the agents for the information and leaks as there is no other way they would have the inside knowledge on everything which is going on as its certainly not in a clubs interest to publicise before they do the deal who they want as we have just found out ourselves

So suppose what I am saying is our dealings are no more high profile then anyone else were just dealing in a different transfer sphere then the 80s and 90s due to the explosion of social media, ITKs and 24hr news channels/radio stations

Who knows, they could also be listening into people's conversations. They are part of the group which had the News of the World after all.

Remember those days well. Marched to Brentford. More fun then than it is now. Proper club with a soul.

And you know for sure the current Board, none of whom have any affinity with QPR won't walk away and leave us in the hands of the receivers? Can I have the lottery numbers for tonight please?

Fernandes is merely the custodian of OUR club. He's accountable to the fans, if not on a piece of Limited Company paper then morally and in spirit. No-one want the club to fail but TF isn't above critical review.

The same mistakes are being repeated over and over. A wise man once said that the definition of insanity is repeating the same actions over and over in the hope of different outcome......

Jane I would not be surprised I think there is plenty more to come out in the media inquiry so far they have focused on celebrity tapping etc but the sport side has not been looked at. I reckon there would be a few sweaty b um holes on the sports desks if the gaze of the inquiry shifted from the news to the sports front

We're also going to be far more aware of our potential dealings than other clubs, so we always have this probably false idea that other team's signings come out of nowhere, or are done under the radar, and ours are played out in public.

He needs to spend more time at the Club - Six solid months. He doesn't know what's really happening and relies on the work of Beard, someone completely inexperienced in the world of football. Put a proper football operational management structure in place. If he doesn't have that amount of time due to his Air Asia commitments, find someone to work alongside him. 2 years making the same mistake after the same mistake. It is worrying.
