Yes - he has been let down but the man continues to be positive, continues to invest and communicates with us. For that he deserves our respect and not idiotic, shallow posts.
Robert Maxwell, Tom Hicks, Mark Goldberg, Simon Jordan were all very positive Chairmen who all invested millions and communicated with the fans AND backed their managers with millions and all had big plans for Academies and whizz bang new stadia. I'm seeing a few similarities here. That ended up well. Doesn't mean they were good Chairmen (though Jordan did have his good points in fairness)

Fernandes has delivered NOTHING. 2 years in and we're worse off, both financially and on the playing side, than when he took over despite throwing millions and millions at mercenary players and agents who couldn't wipe the rictus grins off their faces when they knew that had to negotiate with Beard - who apparently makes Ridsdale look like Warren Buffet. Hardly a ringing success.

The Club has had no stability under Fernandes, no structure and no direction. It is a castle built on sand. Training Ground? Minimum 3 years away. Stadium? Don't make me laugh.

Nothing idiotic about pointing out the glaringly obvious.

Everyone has a job description and accountabilities, it's other who have failed not him

I certainly would not be complimenting Hughes, Beard, most of the players or even Harry. Fernandez is trying to transform our club
      Absolutely agree Mem

Delivered nothing? How are we worse off on the playing side? Take a look at the squad when Tony arrived! Granted they've massively underperformed but again, that's not TF's fault.

so anyway... who is actually off then?

"love" = mackie (still not announced), remy and maybe taarabt?
              "don't love" = bosingwa
"marmite players" = barton, mbia, cesar

Yep. I'm not even sure what people are arguing. That's he's a great chairman? If so I've got a bridge to sell you.

When he came in we had a squad that had been promoted from the Championship. They were on decent, but not stratospheric wages.

Now we have a squad which has been relegated from the Premiership, having won four games all season, on massive wages (yes, even by Premiership standards).

I wouldn't argue the squad if I were you. It's not really an asset to your argument.

Very hard to disagree with that.

When you look at it, we've gone backwards in all the key areas since TF arrived.

                    • We had an extra year in the Premiership. Not sure that is a good thing, but with the squad that came up, pretty sure we would have been relegated the first year.

Couldnt make it up Felt and i am also finding hard to understand where all the love is coming from as he hasnt actually achieved anything!. Is it the tweets and the communication? He does seem to be a bit of a PR master.

Yeah and TF backed Warnock in the transfer market. I didn't agree with the sacking of Warnock and still don't, that I will say against TF but the majority wanted Warnock gone!

The squad is still better than when he arrived. The one's on massive wages are being moved on.

Uncle tony is the best thing to ever happen to the club, he's one of us and is a shrewd shrewd man.

July 2011 - Fernandes arrives to the home of the winners of the FL Champions, newly promoted to the Premier League
July 2013 - Fernandes spends millions and millions and we sit back in the Football League Championship.

                                i.e. worse off. Simple

Just because we pay the players more money, doesn't mean they are better than the ones we had. Clearly, they're not. Oh, they might be better technically and they have a reputation because they came from Real Madrid or Spurs or Man City or some godforsaken petro-steroided club in the badlands of Russia but they clearly lack bottle, cojones, mental fortitude or other aspects that make you "A Good Player".

                                They're a shambles.
