All the responsibility of the board and all done properly
The player doesn't sign right away but not because of any of the above but because in the real world the player and his agent are looking after number one. He has a decent option (in terms of wages, playing time and prospects of promotion) and knows his future is safe and then goes out to chase the dream of PL football knowing he has a fall back position if it doesn't work. What are the club supposed to do?

Harry STFU until its done - check

        IMO.

Everyone is guessing! None of you lot know squat coz you were not involved. Stop talking nonsense. Until TF, Amit, Beard or some other person involved with the transfer state what happened I'll reserve judgement, unlike a lot of you miserable bunch.

Someone else mentioned he has still not officially signed for Norwich, why? Holding out for Spam? Holding out for some other club? Holding out for more money? Who knows apart from Gary and his agent.

That is a ****** good point stan, they would prob still have come in for him but we wouldn't be a week away from the start of the season scratchin around like headless chickens for a goal scorer.

we are a championship side for now...we are negotiating from a position of weakness compared to a prem team....its that simple

Going back to the Phil Beard thing...

I think he will earn his money if and when we announce a new stadium. We should all know his previous with the O2 Arena (nee Millennium Dome). And look how good that venue is for multiple events.

If he had of come to us it would have been for 1 reason at the moment, and no one on here seriously wants that.

Good player and its a shame were not as attractive as Norwich but that's how it is. Move on to another target.
Spot on. It was all about Premiership football at the end of the day. If we were still in the Premiership he would of signed for us. I doubt thou that we would of then been interested in him if we was in the Premiership as our targets would of probably been different. He would of been mustard in the Championship but could he have been another player of just that level, I guess we'll see come the end of this coming season.

So the **** what? that is years away! This is the plonker that has been negotiating contracts and is left in day to day control of a Football Club.

Beard must go, he was partly responsible for the ridiculous deals done last season and for this farse, wether he's a nice guy or not enough is enough lets get in a football man that knows the ropes and what is needed to close a deal as quickly as possible, without the world knowing about it before the deal is done !!!!!! Having said that let's get behind our club and hope whoever is brought in from now will do the business !!!! Come on you Rsssssss

Can someone please explain how Beard is at fault?

The board set the parameters in terms of transfer fees and wages.

At the end of the day, either a player wants to play for us and accept the wages on offer, or he doesn't.

Perhaps they don't want to play for a joke of a manager.

I wouldn't say it's necessarily his fault. More that he's just out of his depth in the shady shark-infested waters of football agents and transfer negotiations. His official title is CEO after all. Corporations have those, not football clubs, but Tony could hardly call him a DoF. Not saying he's a bad businessman generally, I just think he needs help, someone working alongside him with some actual footballing experience/background of transfer dealings etc. And if you had to pick out one own-goal TF has made since he arrived this would be his biggest in not providing Beard with that assistance.

                              IMO!

                                So, any suggestions who?
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.
