Seems like Harry can't help himself when having a dig. Agree with both points above 100%

Stevie Wonder could see this right , Hooper his agent and Celtic played this one he was never coming to QPR used our bid to get Norwich to up the price and wages to above what Norwich wanted to pay , wasnt there a poster that said Hooper was tight lipped and wouldn't tell his friends where he was going .
Redknap was dead right weather people want to moan abour him or not t the people who handled the deal our end fannied about they were willing to pay the price and should have given all party 's a take or leave it ,ultimation and moved on , like H said it's not the first time we lost out in drawn out transfer negotiatons but yeah lets all blame him anyhowLast edited by dogsrrs; 26-07-2013, 07:14 AM.

Im glad we've got a manager that is outspoken. Atleast im up to date with the negatives and positives, not just fed the same brain washing trash other clubs dish out.

I may be being a bit naive here, but surely all Beard or the board can do in transfer situations is ensure that when a manager wants a player, they:
A) Make the necessary funds available to make the purchase, which in this case we know for certain that they did,
and
B) Agree to meet the player's salary demands, which many reports say we did.
You see if Harry had been keen on Hooper for a while, he should have said that he is the player he wants and ask the board if they can sanction both of the above. On the assumption that they could, the next step would have been to tell Hooper that he needs to sign prior to us leaving for Austria, or we will move on to someone who does want to come.
Might not have got him, but we wouldn't have been a week away from the start of the season, having completely messed up yet again.
QPR have had all summer to deal with this, not only this month, but could have entered negotiations back in June. they should have agreed a fee with Celtic and then terms with Hooper and given him his deadline to sign.
Some of us have been going on for the last few seasons about how slow QPR are to doing deals, and that they often wait until the season is about to start or even starts signinmg players, and we are nearly always told "it's still June ffs, the window doesnt open until 1st July" etc. whilst the latter may be true it doesn't mean deals cant be agreed in principle.
We are now 1 week away before the Sheff W game and play the last friendly tonight, and where is the new striker or the replacement for Samba (Dunne will be lucky to last until September).
4 strikers have been release, another Remy is likely to go, whilst other attacking options like Mackie and Taarabt are also likely to be sold. The last 3 have not really featured in pre season, so even if Remy and Taarabt were to saty, how fit will they be?
I am so please that I no longer buy a STm because if I did, I would really be p****d off.Last edited by stanistheman; 26-07-2013, 09:14 AM.

QPR got relegated largely because chances to score goals were missed in the early stages of the season and sloppy defending i.e. Swansea, Man City, Chelsea, Spurs, West Ham, West Brom, Everton. And after this the rot had really set in and Redknapp came in and he failed to turn things around.
The probblems could have been avoided if strikers and CBs had been signed instead of loading up the midfield.
QPR are facing the same issues now.
