I've got mixed views but ultimately he wasn't going to play this season. Think he'll do well for Forest
    Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
    And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Gotta agree with Hammesmith R. Wish the fella well, but really won't miss him turning out for our team.

Same as you Dave. Was never a fan. Saw him as a bit of a glory hunter if I'm honest & p!ss poor footballer. Great attitude & desire but thats about it. Only concern is getting rid of so many front players & not replacing them & also although I'm not a Mackie fan I felt he would of been an asset in the CCC.

I cannot get my head around this.when we try to sign someone it is dragged out. But when Mackie is sold it is done quickly and cleanly. It raises the question why we do not do business this quick or did we not shop Mackie around for a better price?

I do not have any faith in the way we
            deal with transfers

when the price is right you rip their f'kin hand off in the case of someone like spackie.

Hammersmith is correct (dunno about the 'chip on shoulder' bit though) in my humble opinion.

It would seem that a lot of players have a 'loyalty' clause in their contract which they forfeit if they request a transfer, hence why players/agents try and force moves without making a transfer request.

Not sure if this was the case with mackie but as soon as that transfer request came in then that potential hurdle/delay was gone. Clearly to submit a transfer request and sign for a new club all in one day shows that he had been in talks with forest before yday and were just waiting for a fee to be agreed before completing the transfer.

Good luck to him but I have to agree 100% with HammersmithR's summary

                    we are the rangers boys

well he was a gutsy little bleeder,he never knew the word defeat no ball ever looked like it would go out of play when he was playing and i wish him all the luck in the world
if you look at the nedhum interview on you tube the starting goal scoreres will e andy johnson and zamora

on the negative side mackie never will score more than twelve goals a season, which isnt good enough

but he could be transformed into a brilliant midfield player

GOOD LUCK JAMIE PLEASE DONT SCORE AGAINST US NEXT SEASON DO A PETER CROUCH

There are hundreds of discussions going on about players everyday without the clubs knowledge. Agents know exactly what players want and approach other clubs with said info. Fact of life.

Best of luck to Jamie, his contribution to Diakites goal vs Arsenal, and match saver/winner vs Derby and Liverpool stand out in my mind particularly. Looking back, I will have fond memories and try to eradicate the many "wtf is he doing" thoughts that came into my mind whenever he ran with the ball!

Still reckon Mackie will score more goals than Zamora this season if he gets played as a striker at Forest.
