  • The board don't have much choice-positive?

    As the title says

We've obviously lost out on hooper, we were willing to shell that money out for someone,we don't really have any forwards that can score enough so....we have no choice but to go out and buy some players that can help get us up (the board/manager have said they want to get back up this year)

They must know what is needed and what they have to do....surely??

AND why does it always seem we leave things til the last minute?

Sort of a positive thread eh?
Thank **ck thats all over with !!! need a holiday!!!

Fourth transfer window in a row that now also looks like to be a panic ridden trolley dash.

Warnock had no time due to the sale of the club saga, MH was freshly in and ditto Harry in January. The only one so fat with any time was last summer and this. But this is still active so jury is out.

Best will in the world ...How many clubs have done the bulk of there buying ........We've bought a couple of cheap / freebie type players but the marquee signings ( and in particular strikers ) are always a dragged out affair because they know they are in demand and agents can play clubs off against each other ...... I would expect most clubs to do their ' proper spending ' in the last week of the transfer window

Have any of our alleged challengers really strengthened yet ??

Really don't think you can blame the board, they made there move and Hooper stalled, so aint much you can do if he won't sign hardly there fault is it ?? Hooper used us to suck in a Premier club and it worked,no different to what we did to Newcastle on Remy at the last moment, didnt hear anyone complaining then.....jeez !!

I'll be interested to see how Matt Smith gets on at Leeds this season as that was one I think we should have gone for.
I would like to see us try for Le Fondre, and if he's available and willing to drop down Lambert (although can't see it)
Billy Sharp has to be considered, how about Nicky Maynard or Fraizer Campbell at Cardiff ?, one of them may become available.

Simpson is a decent signing , dunne too old for me , henry a good solid Champ signing so not to bothered.

Need to tie down a deal for austin. Would love to get a young up and coming striker in.
