  • I was a huge Tony fan but I do blame him for...

keeping Harry Redknapp in a job.

I was hoping he would be a pull for some decent signings but I think like me most players have sussed him out.

Tony is massively to blame for showing too much loyalty, he did it with Hughes and he's doing it with Harry.

The club needed a complete fresh approach and that starts from the top.
Harry had a decent side at spurs but he isn't a man that can build a club from scratch.
Unfortunately he is all passion and no brains and he is completely the wrong type of person that is needed at QPR.
I was hoping someone would take him off our hands but there was never going to be a decent offer on the table.
He remind me of Paul Mcartney, totally useless these days but wants to keep going.

I appreciate it was never going to be easy off loading so many overpaid wasters but the way the club is being run is a shambles and Harry isn't articulate and wise enough to resolve this.

I really hope I am wrong and i'd be pleased for a poster to bring up this post and make me look even more of a complete di ckhead but I'd be shocked if I am wrong. Was wrong about Derry but tbf Warnock had a plan and knew what he was doing, harry is clueless and doesn't have the experience of this league. Likes to upset players and now he's stuck with a load of players he has slated. He is a well paid manager that for me has improve nothing at our football club.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

We can't keep sacking managers. He deserves to do his thing and hopefully things go well & we challenge for promotion.

Never been a Redknapp fan so can not even attempt to defend him. Loves the media too much, too outspoken, and his man management of players is a myth. One of the dinosaur managers who insists on 442 and old skool values.

Yes a good season at Spurs, but look at the squad he had, and he fluked a cup win with Pompey (look at Bradford last season).

For someone with no brains I wouldn't mind being a pound behind him!

I would have thought you might have kept your head down after Felt exposed your embarassing comments in the old Derry thread but never mind. You are entitled to your opinion. I for one am pleased to have Tony and Harry at the moment. He needs to be given time with his own team rather than what he inherited

So his bank account makes him a competent man does it?

Like I said the Fa got it spot on when they employed Roy Hodgson and I really hope he proves me wrong but I just don't see it.
The scary thing is that even Levy kept a tight rein on things at spurs, I can't see Tony controlling him in the same way.

Apologies for not rating Harry but I don't choose to follow the media and like you said it's just my opinion. Think I answered your derry jibe in my original post but like I said Warnock had a plan and a bloo dy good one!

Agree with some of that but problem is more upheaval would have made us even more of a shambles.

'Arry isn't the brightest but is very experienced and is surrounded by experienced football men and with people like Steve McClaren (as a coach) we have the basis of a decent coaching team. I think we have done well to get Danny Simpson and whilst I know not everyone universally keen Dunne and Henry solid signings and we will need some leadership and reliable pros. No accident Nelson was so important to us before he left. We are only a defender and a striker or two short of a very good Championship squad and a lot of business will be done last minute in this transfer window so whilst like most others am frustrated by lack of striker signing will look at it when all business has been concluded before getting too uptight about it all.

I also think some of our 'villains' will go late on. We will be left with a few as well but knowing they will be with us until at least January will be in their interest to knuckle down and show other teams they are worth signing. Not being snapped up may dispel any notions some of them will have over how attractive they are to 'better' teams.

As for Tony his only real crime is to fully support experienced Premiership managers who arrived with good reputations. He is not a football man as many have said so who is he expected to rely on if not people who are?

A well written and decent post, and you make some very fair arguments.

Agree but we have a little 'history' and sometimes it needs a neutral response with no malice.

I would certainly hope 'Arry wouldn't be doing negotiations. He hasn't got the brains for it but it can hardly be said he keeps his mouth shut about possible players. Is cringeworthy sometimes. I used to right take the riss out of Spurs fans over him. Think they're the ones doing the laughing now!

He was very poor as manager last season. Easy to put all blame on Hughes but 'Arry had a lot of games to at least make a go of it and we finished rock bottom under his stewardship. A lot of strange team selections and blame game played. As I have said in other posts happy to start this season with a clean slate but he has it all to prove. He will be starting the season with one of the best squads in the league and with complete support of board. No excuses this season and nowhere to hide.
