I'd lose my **** if he left for another Championship club. He is a good striker! Play him up front! No wonder everyone doesn't rate him on here, constantly played out of position.
A good striker and a fullback aswell:=): Cover for Simpson and Harriman.
Good riddance. Woeful first touch for a professional footballer. Runs around doing nothing. Can't cross and his shooting ability is poor. Anything above a million is a steal. His first season was like a 'Stuart Wardley' season. Since then.........not good enough for the Rs.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

That's true Jane, but it's been clear all along that Harry never rated either DJ or Bothroyd. There was never even a hint that they'd be offered new deals.

2nd Season: 7 goals from 31 appearances, coming back from long injury spell, most of the games coming from the bench and used as a winger in the PL does look good for me If you think about SWP.

At last a sensible post on Mackie. Non existant most of the game, when he gets the ball he runs into someone or loses it and when he mis controls a 5 yard pass waves his hands in the air! Never a winger and not good enough to be a striker for a team that wants to get promoted. Move him on.
Those that are not happy he is being sold can you explain where he fits into your team?? If you say he is a impact sub for the last 20 minutes of games you can hardly blame the lad for wanting to move on.

Tad harsh on a player that has scored some very important goals for us. Personally I totally agree that he has massive shortcomings but he definitely offers something at Championship level and I think he's been a credit to himself and the club in terms of attitude and hardwork since day one.
Mackie set for £1.5m Forest move as Hoops line up Hooper (Mirror)
Mackie is available as Harry Redknapp tries to find new forwards - and Forest’s latest improved offer is set to be accepted.
Davies has been looking for a new striker all summer and has now firmed up his interest in Mackie after failing in moves for Gary Hooper and Charlie Austin.
Ironically Hooper’s imminent move to QPR - which is now down to agreeing personal terms - opened the way for Mackie’s departure.
Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
And many more mistakes
