Just look at the stats
As a striker you need to score goals as thats your job in that role

It's a real shame that AJ has a body made of glass because if he could stay fit he would be a huge asset. He aint going to bag 20 + goals but will create and win pens as well as chip in with a decent number if he can get pitch time. Last season started to fall apart the minute he got injured - those early minutes on the pitch showed what a decent player he is, Hughes' tactics seemed to be focused around AJ and it would have worked well - but perhaps Hughes was the only one daft enough to believe he would last 90 minutes, let alone the season#standuptocancer

As for AJ, if fit he will be very, very good in the championship. Score a lot of goals and be a constant pest fo defences. AS for his goal stats at Fulham, slightly misguided as he did a lot of work for the team running channels etc, creating openings for the likes of Zamora when he could move, and Dempsey etc.

Will be in big trouble if relying on him to get us goals

yeah agree with most, AJ is a decent player. He is lively and when fit I can see him getting goals. Injuries are always a major concern with him, however with remy and hooper we could use him far more sparingly. My main concern is Bobby Zamora, ok we had plenty of players that were complete sh it but Bobby ticked all those boxes to be listed under pathetic. I really think we need austin as we need a big man that can perform and austin is the man to fill those boots so we have a plan b.I played sunday league football today.
Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!
