Sure it's not been brilliant since, but those goals, even if he never scores again, could be deemed priceless when the alternative could have abeen a continued poor run and relegation.
He did well dont get me wrong, but, although he was in such hot form i was never under the impression we had the next Ronaldo on our hands....Cant believe it, ive been PWOPER MUGGED ORF...

If we were a mid table team before and a mid table team after it wouldn't really matter, but as we were rooted to the bottom of the table it had major positive impact. Also not just his goals, but the fact he was the in-form striker in the division at that time meant oppo defenders ended up worrying about him more than anyone and he then occupied one or two which made the space for Buz, Vine and Rowly to exploit. Everything clicked.
I'm not his biggest fan by any stretch, and of course he's distinctly average at the moment, but it just frustrates me when some shortsighted fans love to slate players when struggling, and forget they have contributed greatly to our recent cause.

Pat is by no means the sharpest tool in the box but fair play to him for at least wanting to try and get back in our team, he'll get my support like any Queens Park Rangers players when their giving 100% .I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.
