Cureton was a proven class act at that level, before he played for us, and after he left us. Our fans who got on his back conveninently ignored that at the time, Olly had the wisdon to play a long ball game and our defence consistently booted the ball long to him, all 2 ft of him, and what a surprise he won nothing against 6ft 4 CB's.

Good striker who we didn't use to his potential due to pi5s poor tactics. Not his fault. I liked the player and yes he scored some crakers when we actually played him in as he had become acustomed to....

What made him a big let down was the fact that his transfer was another drawn out saga and we chipped in to get him here and all got over excited thinking he was going to set L/R alight and that never happened , ok there were other factors why it didn't happen for him but the fact is it didn't

Against Coventry he scored one goal similar to the one Van Basten scored that people cream themselves over - was a quality strike.

Agree - the bloke was a natural goalscorer but we just didnt play him in the right role. Same as what we did to Tony Thorpe.
