Milan snap up Cesar?
Napoli have given up on Julio Cesar, but it’s reported Milan could sign the QPR goalkeeper instead.
The shot-stopper does not intend to remain at the London club following their relegation from the Premier League.
His agent revealed on Saturday that his negotiations with Napoli faltered due to personal terms, as he wouldn’t accept a pay cut.
According to Calciomercatonews, Milan now intend to swoop for the Brazilian international goalkeeper instead.
They would be prepared to pay the €2.7m per season wages the 33-year-old currently earns at QPR.
It’d be a return to San Siro for Julio Cesar, who represented Milan’s city rivals Inter from 2005 to 2012.
While Napoli have apparently pulled out of the race in order to take Pepe Reina on loan from Liverpool, Arsenal are still tracking Julio Cesar.

what i don't get about all this, is if cesar's wages were too high for napoli, why did they go for reina (who's supposed to be on even higher wages)? it makes me think that, either liverpool are paying a hefty chunk of reina's wages (like £50k+ per week) or the problem wasn't cash-related (possibly cesar is unwilling to leave london). i really hope it's not that cesar is refusing to leave london, cos that'd mean a*senal have got us over a barrel...

im not really knocking cesar, he's a good keeper but not infallible. I guarantee that my gooner mates that want are not remembering some of the
goals he let in for us. just going on recent reports and past rep. he's expensive and doesn't want to be here, say no more.
as others have said, green showed great character after how qpr treated him....he did the championship recently also. in my view green is as good a goalie as
cesar, 30% cheaper and wants to play for us.
edit lets not forget we got him on a free....so its 50k minus a few million transfer fees averaged weeklyLast edited by QPR71; 21-07-2013, 02:34 PM.

Yes, get rid and replace him with Ademole Bankole!
Anyway useless t**t is going. As i asked hasn't he earned enough in his career already to sacrifice that for 1st team football that he wants in a wc year.
As a poster has said 5 better gks than him at the Rs already
