Olly people say 70k is a lot of money but I wouldn't say it is for arsenal, man u, man city ,Chelsea ,Liverpool all title contenders , but people talk about green on 50k as tho he's on peanuts I find his 50k a week makes cesars 70k look a bit more realistic

That's the worry ain't it? Probably the same reason that Mbia & Granero haven't had any interest!

So Arsenal expect to get an international keeper who plays for Brazil for 30k a week?.

Yet paid Arshavin about 80k a week to sit on the bench.

They are trying it on so call both Arsenal's and Cesar's bluff and leave him on the bench if they ain't gonna pay the dough.

Don't believe even Arsenal would only offer 30k to a keeper regarded highly. Paper nonsense to me.

Only time will tell as he is on leave now. We cannot judge at the moment until he returns.

No farking way. Madness if we even entertain the idea of paying wages for a player we sell. We flog, pocket the cash & be shot of him or he's ours and available for selection (albeit I'd pick Green, but that's a whole nuva argument in itself!).

Unlike Green??? Swansea West Brom Newcastle Newcastle spring to mind and he didn't play many games.

I agree. Fans on here and other boards speak as if Green is a better keeper, forgetting his howlers against Swansea West Brom and Newcastle and he had other dodgy moments from far less games than Cesar.

Cesar was statistcally the best keeper in the prem last season.

                        Great read by the way.

Makes me laugh the way people slate Cesar. The facts prove he was the best shot stopper in the EPL last season, a player that plays for one of the best national teams in the world, a champions league winner, twice a winner of the Confederations Cup, this year's golden glove winner in the competition, 5-time winner of Serie A, Italian cups galore, yet he's not good enough for QPR!

Yes, get rid and replace him with Ademole Bankole!
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Sorry mate but if the stats say he was the best keeper in the Premiership last season then the stats are misleading. People said the same thing when we signed Simon Royce........Best keeper in the league on the Opta Stats and blah, blah, blah.

The fact is that Cesar bottled it when we needed him last season and made some absolute howlers in critical games for us. For me the turning point of our season was the game away at Villa, if we had gone on to win that it was 3 wins on the bounce and a run of winnable games in front of us. Instead Bosingwa p*sses around and gives the ball away & Cesar flaps like a girl and concedes a goal. We go on to throw away that game (with the help of another howler from Cesar), we never recover from it fail to win another game!

Admittedly Rob Green has had his moments too but they all happened early on in the season under Hughes and I actually think he was a totally different player after he had settled in at the club. You also have to say that the way he dealt with the harsh treatment from Hughes and came back to perform exceptionally well towards the end of the season shows the character of the guy. I'd take an attitude like that over a money grabber like Cesar any day of the week!

                              In fairness
Infairnes Richard said shot stopper , yes yes he did make some clangers poor judgement on crosses lack of consentration but when you keep getting let doWn by your denfenders ie Ferdi Boswinga Hill and the unfit beast as well as others did he just give up , but many shots he stopped where world class so if Richard is talking his shot stopping a nd not his later overall game he's right

I don't think there is alot between the two of them was firmly in Cesar court early season but have come to there opinion there much a muchness

I think Green has however flapped under Harry, not just Hughes, as when we were 1 up against Fulham at home he played a short back pass to their forward then fell over and left an open goal which they should have capitalised on from memory could be held responsible for both Newcastle goals at home last season. Came on against Southampton and showed what he is capable of but you always feel he is a moment from throwing one in the next at any time regardless of how well he is playing

Would be my number 1 now however give him the gloves and hopefully his confidence will grow
