  • Harry rules out loan moves for Cesar and Taarabt

Harry Redknapp has told Sky Sports News QPR will not let Julio Cesar or Adel Taarabt leave on loan this summer.

He said of Cesar: "I can't see the sense in loaning him for a year. He's got three years left on his contract, he's just played for Brazil in the Confederations Cup and been absolutely fantastic.

"I think he's a goalkeeper for any team in the world he's that good, so to loan him out for a year and then have him back is absolutely pointless.

"What's the point in loaning him for a year then getting him back on massive wages for another two years? He's in his prime at the moment, I'm sure he's wanted by lots of clubs around the world.

"If he wants to leave, we sell him. Napoli are not short of money, they're just selling Cavani for £54million, so if they want him surely they've got to come and do a deal.

"We have to do a deal that suits the football club and not deals that suit agents and other people."

On Taarabt, he said: "There's talk about him going to Hull on loan. What's the good in that? If he wants to go, let somebody come and pay the money for him.

"If nobody wants to buy him, he stays here and he gets fit. He has to show he's a good player and help to get QPR back in the Premier League.

"If he really wants to go that bad and someone wants him - pick up the phone, make an offer and we'll do some business. No problem."

Groundbreaking news. Keep getting told about him being
'World class' and all these clubs supposedly after him yet 3 weeks before the season starts he's still a QPR player.

Napoli bound today or tomorrow I reckon.

Whichever way it gets spun the bottom line is the relegation will have affected his stock.

Not sure I agree with this. He seems to have re-established himself as Brazils No 1

My mate is Brazillian and went back home for a couple of months. Not one person he spoke to actually knew who Cesar played for. His stock in Brazil at least, is still sky high.

Would Adel be at the training ground everyday whilst the squad is in Austria? Also would Harry be there as he isn't in Austria? Perfect opportunity for them to sort there differences, or get to the bottom of if Adel wants to leave or not.

You are surely not suggesting a game of FIFA?

Yes Adel would presumably be there along with Barton, Diakite, Young, Ferdinand, Bosingwa and Ephraim.

Harry probably won't be there whilst in recuperation from his knee op.

Adel doesn't want to play in the CCC he has already said that. Add to that Redknapp's patience with him clearly wearing out its curtains for him it seems. Only hope of him staying is if no one buys him & as it stands doesn't seem like many are bashing the doors down to get him.

Kevin Pietersen's nickname in the cricket world is FIGJAM. Adel's could be the same. If he was as good as he thinks he is he'd be long gone by now.

Too right & all. If people want em, stump up the cash - if not, they're our players. Ain't a charity to lend em our players.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

I think Adel has wanted to leave for sometime.

What I find unusual is that no club has come in for any of them? Wasn't Granero suppost to have gone along with Diakite and Mbia?
