This was put on the skysports transfer clockwatch last night...
Celtic manager Neil Lennon concedes that talks remain ongoing regarding Queens Park Rangers' move for Gary Hooper, but he hopes the striker stays. It was revealed earlier in the week that QPR had tabled an increased offer for Hooper.

All down to their liability. If, for example, a group of mates decided to have a grand each on, say, QPR to sign Danny Welbeck tomorrow at 100/1, the odds on that would probably come right in to odds on or even have betting suspended on it due to the sheer outlay the bookies would have should it come off. Hense I don't read into odds on next clubs too much - can be a few bets placed off the back of Twitter rumours that lead to the odds painting a false picture. You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

golden rules of betting
only place your bet if
- the player transferring is your mate
- you know which greyhound has been overfed
- which jockeys are pulling back the horse
- what cyclists are on the best drugs
- you have mastered card counting with black jack
