That's my personal opinion fella. Only at Rangers do we get long drawn out deals. It's like having to wait for the next episode of 'Luther'. Does my frigging head in all this waiting malarkey.

I think they only Feel long and drawn out as the ITKs jump the gun and Declare deals done when they clearly aren't. Even if well intended they spark o Spiral of false hopes and expectation. Nothing has come from the club to suggest the deal is imminent in fact the manager stated the exact opposite. The only reason that it feels Drawn out is from Unsubstantiated ITK information post on this and other such message boards. Rumours are all part of the fun but when that gets turned into fact that is different

I am sure a quick trawl around other clubs message boards will find there own similar threads of false dawns, ITK league tables etc.

He wants to make the England world cup squad and is waiting for a Prem offer as that will be his best chance, we're probably his last choice. Makes sense. I reckon we'll sign him..eventually.

He can wait as long as he likes, but he won't be making the England team. Not playing in Scotland, or for a struggling prem team.

Done nothing to suggest he is good enough for international stage even though England are cr@p i'd still put quite a few strikers ahead of him. Played ok in the couple of CL games for Celtic but rest of time playing in league 1 standard competition.

To be fair to Hooper though mate, it isn't him that made that claim. Just more nonsense journalism from those that like to make up a non story.

At the end of the day, the choice is his and we need to respect it. It will be our own fault if we miss out on another good player, due to hanging around and not giving a swift ultimatum.

On the other hand, if he HAS agreed terms and then changes his mind, I wish him nothing other than total failure, injuries etc.

Maybe next week when the club camera is back from it's Austrian holiday, it can take a picture of him holding our shirt.

Just hoping that we sign players this window that WANT to play for us and dont come just for money. If he wants to sign,,then sign him up. If not lets move on and not try the Phil Beard shuffle on him where we agree to make him richer with a lucrative contract and he just needs to turn up.

Apart from all the rumours, do we know if anybody else has actually put in an offer for him? The last we heard was that we had put in an offer and were awaiting a response from Celtic. Since then nothing. Celtic has not accepted or refused the offer. Also all sorts of rumours about the player's position: He's talking to the club, he doesn't want to come to the club, he is having a medical, he has met with Tony etc. etc.
