  • Just a few thoughts?

    Few big talking points.

    1. Player Outgoings
    2. New Signings
    3. The strength of the current squad
    4. Pre season matches
    5. Park and Marketing

As a whole, I feel that the club is moving forward since being relegated. I say this because TF and the board are already more wise and stronger with regards to transfers and overall club policies.

TF has already fined several players and the season hasn't even started, whether or not that's good to hear, it does show that a new discipline order has been put in place. Somehow we managed to make most if not ALL the money back on the Samba deal, that IMO is top business all round and worth the gamble now as im pretty sure everyone thought we would be screwed on that one.

By the looks of things TF is trying to make as much money as he can back on the players we bought before selling and he is even not being mugged into paying off players for them to sign for a new club (Cisse and Barton great examples)

That alone has been a breath of fresh air.

On top of that, Harry is working his magic without any funds so far. Already bringing in Simpson and Dunne to the defence, both of which again IMO are top championship signings.

    - Simpson is probably still able to do it in the prem, so getting him at QPR on a Free was top business.
    - Dunne is our new Nelson who we missed so bad last year. (Strong, Commanding in the air and a leader) The deal TF and Co did for that is very good, if he gets injured then we can release.

The current squad does raise some questions but overall It is relatively good. It has good depth at least. but a starting eleven doesnt fit/work together currently and that needs addressing straight away. Remy is our only goal threat for example, that isnt good enough.

Pre Season is all about fitness.. Ignore the results!! It means nothing, some of the scorelines coming out of the Everton, City and United games of late havent been very flattering. But it doesnt mean they wont do very well next season.

Finally the Park and Marketing topic today. At the end of the day, we are a business as well as club now. Do we honest really care if Park has a plane named after him? Seriously couldnt care less about ANY OF THAT SH1T!! Having Park enhances our brand and in time will help raise more funds and profit, for that reason it isnt a bad thing.

I pay for the football, I pay to watch QPR and I enjoy success when it comes. END.

Is this what working his magic boils down to - bringing in (potentially) good players?
Then Hughes certainly worked his magic one year ago, that team looked impressive.
But then that irritating little thing called the football season started...
Am I the only one regretting that Harry did not walk in May/June?
Do all of you really believe he can achieve something?
He has already failed to save us from one relegation.
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

Huh? - Dunne and Simpson are totally different signings to the last group of players Hughes brought in. (Except Nelson)

Both of these will be good for us - I never said potentially, I said top championship players.

Fair dooze though, im getting the feeling youre not very happy.

Dont think many fans are happy at the moment mate tbh....but still a way to go yet till season start. Plenty of our useless ******s can still be got rid of and still time to bring in more decent players ( i think both Dunne and Simpson will work out)

Im not particularly happy about it all either if I was honest, I am proper nervous.

Still think we need to get rid of a few as well (Granero, Cesar, Bosingwa etc)

But overall the club seems to working a bit better, and the right players are being brought in on the right contracts.

Yer agree it does look as though we might be doing things differently this season.

Why has my bubble bath smelly fart comment been deleted? I demand it reinstated under the Freedom of Speech Act 2000 :yush:

Only time will tell. Last seaon all of us were happy this time with the signings and it proved that it not about names but how you organise and use the players as well as their attitudes.

Different (better) players signed now than one year ago? Don't recall many complaining about last summer's signings before the season started. In fact what I do recall is the optimists predicting our European qualification and pessimists - shock, horror - going for mid-table finish

Still think a lot is changing at QPR and the right players are being brought in.
