  • Thank you captain park

I thought I was on strong drugs when I saw this just now:

This isn't going down at all well. We are just being used for marketing.

I noticed that article earlier, but don't be confused about the "Captain Park" bit. Park was the captain of the Korean national football team and is still often referred to as "Captain Park" although he is retired from international football now. In interviews, TF thanked Park for helping promote Air Asia in Korea and Asia.

To some extent, it may also be TF saying to Park, "thanks for your efforts as captain last season which got you more blame than the average player". Some reporters speculated on this, but that is what it is, speculation.

It probably has no bearing on the current or future captaincy of the club.

Wouldn't mind all that if he actually did the job on the pitch.
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

Doesnt surprise me. We should all know by now that top of Fernandes priorities will always be making money. He will use everything he can to make a few more quid and that includes our club. Futures bright though apparently....we just have to sit back, relax and trust Fernandes 100% according to some.

As we discussed the other day, there is a lot of money coming in that you do not see and this is how TF bankroles the high wages etc. he is a very astute businessman and is not going to blow millions treating us as a hobby

Understand that mate but what i am saying is if ever he has a choice of either making more money or doing something for the benefit of the club we all know which way this astute businessman will go. My concern is for the long term future of the club in the hands of these astute businessmen out to make as much dosh as they can while raising the profile of their other businesses. Will our club always come first like it should in the hands of responsible owners?

Captain Park more likely refers to the fact that Captains fly planes. It doesnt say "Thanks Park, Captain of QPR, what a great footballer you are"

There is no issue, this was done off season and doesnt affect the club. Multitasking, it makes sense no?

If TF wasnt able to generate money, there would be no signings, no academy, no training ground etc. Some fans just love to have a go!

Off the field he has turned us into a laughing stock with two humiliating seasons of spending money which we as a club cannot sustain and being relegated from the top division. You may think thats a great job but i beg to differ. If on the other hand you refer to the tweets about a new academy/training ground/stadium then please remember so far thats all they have been...tweets and planning permission.. The training ground/ Academy is also imo the minimal thing a responsible owner should be putting in place and if it wasnt for the fact that we have been run so poorly over the years these would already be in place the same as at other clubs. Look you trust him to always put QPR first, the majority trust him also. Some fans, a minority admittedly, just dont. Compared to many of our past owners he is a godsend but i just cant see the adulation and near worship he recieves from some as being healthy for the club. Be wary, thats my motto :-) But each to their own and that goes for my opinon also.

Clearly a loaded question but an erroneous one too it seems. How are they not "responsible"? And how would TF have known in advance that Park would fail here in footballing terms?

Firstly, TF suggested Park to Hughes as a signing but if Hughes had said no on footballing grounds then we wouldn't have signed him.

Secondly, as we had signed him why shouldn't TF milk as much marketing revenue from it as possible if that is used to help fund the club, wages etc? After all surely the more profitable our owners' other businesses become the better that is for QPR too.

Completely agree with V, I will continue to support TF and hope he benefits us for the best but I am far from convinced
