I think he has qualities we lack.

We a couple of good wing backs at this level... But we dont have much experience at the back.

Nelson was seriously good, we missed him a lot, Dunne could be the missing link at the back.

    1 Year deal, good!

A great signing IMO. He'll be as good as Ryan Nelson.

How about we get a giant banner to drape across the Loft. Thinking it could sit where the advertisement boards are separating the lower and upper Loft. Something like "Captain, Leader and NOT a racist W@nker!" Followed by a pic of his face. Thoughts?

Excellent bit of business. Interesting that the board sanctioned this deal but not the Wayne Bridge one. I guess Dunne had less contract demands than Bridge

Quality player on a free. Injury has pretty much gone too by all accounts.

I think that him and Ned in the middle, with Clint as cover, is a very strong core to the defence (sorry Anton). A very tough cookie too.

Let's hope that he doesn't decide to go and manage, say Tampa Bay, at Christmas..........

Bridge has wasted a promising career by being content to go to Chelsea and then City to sit on the bench on big money.... in other words he's money focused. Dunne is the sort of character who would run through a wall for the team and play through injury. A proper old school no nonsense CB who just wants to play, and i would be very happy to see him playing for us.

So yes i'd imagine it's a given that Dunne's demands were nothing like Bridge's.

This would be my pairing too, Dunne and Onouha. Clint is too slow and clumsy for me. Got away with a number of penalty shouts and made lots of costly mistakes last season. Another year on and i think he'll struggle in the championship also. Great back up when needed though.

Personally think he is a donkey. But suppose he has played in the PL his whole career and so could be a wise acquisition in the Championship. At least with a 1 year deal there's limited risk attached. Comes across as a fairly decent pro in terms of wanting to play & not being here for a pay cheque, so hope he proves me wrong.

Agree but only in the PL. I think he can do the job as Left Back in the Championship.

He's well past it as a left back, I think I remember him even saying so himself.

I think he used to be their Captain.

And West Ham at home in the next (or previous) match. The 2 games he played LB and and we were 2-0 in both within about 15 mins and all 4 goals from attacks down his side... coincidence, i think not. The manager should never have played him there.

No way he can play LB in the championship either. You need to have pace and be mobile to play against nippy wingers.
