      If you were posting "SIGN MICHU" at the time then kudos to you. But if not then I am sure you know that for every Michu there are about 100 gambles who dont deliver and dont get headlines. See gambles dont always pay off. So you need to look at your position and adjust the level of risk appropriately.

      A team that could not score least year needs some some safer bets than if they had done better. The current squad scored about 20 goals last year, it needs to score about 70 goals next year just to get a play off place. True rolling the dice might give a chance of success, but why do that when Redknapp has built a promotion team before, that is why TF appointed him manager because he has that experience which includes picking players.

With Hooper's bid apparentely rejected and seeing that even Charlie Austin will not join us as well, I think Crouch is the only striker who possibly will accept coming unless we risk bringing a young striker from Holland recommended by Steve McClaren ; the type of strikers like Michu who was unknown and proved himself later. If I was Harry Redknap, I would ask Steve McClaren to bring someone from Holland either himself or through his Dutch connections.
