    Park joke:

A Chinese man walks into a bank in New York City and asks for the loan officer. He tells the loan officer that he is going to China on business for two weeks and needs to borrow $5,000.

The bank officer tells him that the bank will need some form of security for the loan, so the Chinese man hands over the keys of his new Ferrari parked on the street in front of the bank. He produces the title and everything checks out.

The loan officer agrees to accept the car as collateral for the loan.

The bank’s president and its officers all enjoy a good laugh at the Chinese man for using a $250,000 Ferrari as collateral against a $5,000 loan. An employee of the bank then drives the Ferrari into the bank’s underground garage and parks it there.

Two weeks later, the Chinese man returns, repays the $5,000 and the interest, which comes to $15.41. The loan officer says, “Sir, we are very happy to have had your business, and this transaction has worked out very nicely, but we are a little puzzled. While you were away, we checked you out and found that you are a multi-millionaire. What puzzles us is, why would you bother to borrow $5,000?”

The Chinese man replies: “Where else in New York City can I park my car for two weeks for only $15.41 and expect it to be there when I return?”

Wrong, in his last season at United it was clear for all to see that Fergie had lost faith with Park due to his injury problems, even the fans lost patience with him in a defeat at Old Trafford (either the carling cup or CL) and then there was the defeat at City where he was atrocious and took a lot of the blame for the loss.

Even in his pre injury days Fergie never played Park day in, day out.

It's true, Park's knee is slowly deteriorating, and it may be affecting his workrate. However, I disagree that the condition is bad enough to say that Park is "finished". I think I know this player better than you, Northolt, so excuse me if I don't take your word for it. I'll leave that to medical and HR.
Because he is Korean? What an arrogant comment. I have seen him enough down the years playing football in my country and over the last year playing for my team to form my own opinion on him.

Yes, he served a purpose in certain games for United, and that was to usually hassle ball playing teams such as Arsenal and unnerve them in midfield.

      It usually worked.

Dont go overboard in how instrumental he was to them winning titles.

I think you are overcompensating a little. Just as we should not blindly praise Park due to our shared ethnicity, neither should we feel the need to criticize him more for it.

For most people, one bad season after a dozen good ones does not turn a player into an embarrassment. Indisputably, Park has had an exceptional career in football at the club and international level for over a decade. In fact, Park is the is the most successful Korean footballer in decades (since Cha Boom), which is a source of pride for Korean football fans and players alike. He owes this accomplishment to a little bit of talent, and a lot of heart and professionalism.

Park's goal this season is to help the club bounce back up to the PL, and whether he will be able to perform as needed is yet to be seen, but there is no doubt that he will give it his best effort. If he fails to perform despite his best effort, I would be disappointed but not embarrassed, and neither should you.

As for Yun, time will tell.
His brother KA is even better

I think it suffices to say that Park was considered a great asset in defense (in addition to the given role of attacking from wing), and that the term "defensive winger" came into common use to describe him since his early years at Manchester United. That particular term was not used for any other player at Manchester United and Park was widely considered by staff and teammates to be an excellent tackler.

Not saying that he was able to bring that same performance last season, but I think it's silly to imply that he lacks defensive ability. Granted, his legs are slowly wearing out -- but they're not gone yet.
