  • Just seen the highlights of the Posh game on SSN

Faurlin with our 2 best chances, freekick and then a great shot at the end, both superbly saved by their keeper. Looks as if Faurlin's been told to play a more attacking role for us, listened to it on the radio and it sounded like he was our main attacking threat.

Also Phil Beard says we've had no offers for Cesar, and we're seriously looking to sign 4 or 5 players at the moment.

Did they show a few highlights or do you mean Sky Sports website?

It was the channel, they only showed a few chances, 2 of ours and their goal. Have to say, love watching us play in the red and black hoops again!

I thought Ale had a good game yesterday and no way should M'bia ever get a game in front of this lad. I think a Faurlin/Parker combination could be awesome this season.

Glad to read of a midfielder having a shot on goal as that has been missing from our game the last two years we don't have midfielders to take a shoot enough or get in the box

if he's fully fit, he's a class player, no question

Just seen it. To be honest Peterborough goal and opportunities do not make us as poor as people I think. With more friendlies, we can avoid those mistakes.

Based on those highlights are defense looks absolutely shocking. We could have been 3-0 down against a better side by half-time. Defense continued to make poor mistakes in the 2nd half but we improved offensively 2nd half. 2 great strikes by Faurlin which produced top class saves from their keeper, so unlucky not to get a draw in the end.

That's why I said a new back four, one season mistakes is enough and we fans deserve better now.

Think Ale Faurlin was the MOM and could be important this season. He only played for 35 minutes, so would be interested in seeing how he plays for 90 minutes.

Not seen the highlights and I hope the defence is strengthened but as I see it a lot of defending strategy is based around a good CM pair to both protect the defence and suppor the forwards too - if defenders are exposed they have to be awesome just to not look like mugs. My recollection of WHU away for example, midfield crumbled after 10 minutes which meant 80 minutes of last ditch defending, hard to look good in that situation.

I know it's only a few minutes of highlights and I don't mean to sound alarmist, BUT some of those unforced defensive errors was absolute schoolboy stuff and would've been easily seized on by decent opposition.
