This game really hurt when they levelled it at the end. Think it was when I first realised footie results effected me and mattered

Game under the lights now is never the same as it was as a kid. I remember I used to stare at the lights then when I looked at the pitch I could not see anything but could not help doing it

My first game was against either Sunderland or Birmingham. All I remember is my old man shouting abuse at Mike Sheron telling him how ****e he is

As soon as I popped out, me old man was making sure I was an R. Took me to me first game when I was 5 towards the end of the 95/96 season that we went down. Beat Southampton 3-0 & had the bug ever since. Remember some w-anchor stewardthere not letting me in with a flag me old man had bought me outside the ground as it had the wooden stick to fly it on, only to get in and find out there were scores of em being flown about :strive:

Always been a proud R - even when you're a nipper and the playground banter gets thrown about "you support a $hit team" I loved defending our little club.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Had high hopes when he rocked up Fordy. You could actually link our dramatic decline in fortunes to that signing as we went rapidly down hill as a club from then breaking our transfer record bringing Sheron in on the back of one prolific season with Stoke

What was the famous Housten quote to Wright ' Get me Sheron and I will get you the premier league'

My dad took me over from Northern Ireland to see QPR at Spurs, probably about 79. Seem to remember it finished 2-2. Cracking game and I was hooked.Watched them before during 75-76 but was a bit young to support a team. Lots of pain in the intervening years but somehow it always feels worth it!

Someone clearly not happy to meet Reid

I'm guessing that would have been summer of 89?

Wiki has Reid down as only being with us for one season

Mine was v Foolham in 73 I think. We got promoted that season.

My uncle took me, who's a gooner
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Taken to my first game by my dad at the sweet old age of 2 days old - still got the programme - And never looked back since. I was also the kid on Match of the Day back in the 80s who ran along the box office roofs against Watford to get Elton John's autograph for my mum and I was the mascot against Man City when the crowd invaded the pitch because the proposed merger of us and Fulspam (think it was 1988 - can anyone confirm?).

3-1 win against Arsenal in the 94/95 season. 7 years old and one of the best days of my life. Never looked back.
