  • When did you start supporting QPR

For me my first game was I think 1986 QPR V Liverpool in the Bush. Was taken there for a mates birthday. As soon as I was able to go alone with mates have been down there more or less without exception.

First experience that I recall when my stomach turned at a game was back in the 90s when we played Chelsea at home and were two nil up and Chelsea drew level at the end with an over head kick from I think Denis Wise :TT-TT:

went to a fair few games whenever dad could take me, got my first season ticket of my own in the 05/06 season, and renewed every season since.

I remember that game Spurs played in yellow if I recall with that kind of bird p oo on the shoulder and Lineker kept throwing himself to the floor at every opportunity.

Did we not have Paul Walsh on loan from Spurs at the same time???

When we bought the wizard Gordon Hill from Man utd. A pity his knee was damaged when he played for us though.
This was the beginning of the Allen/Goddard days. WHAT A TEAM.

It was a blinding game,we were one nil down at half time I think. Remember giving gazza loads of abuse from the loft when he was taking corners and he half lost his head and slung some divots in at us. The game was later put to classical music or suchlike.

76/77 arsenal at home. all excited the day of game but the buzz walking down towards the ground holding my ol mans hand and seeing the floodlights. 28,500 odd there and walking up the stairs to see the pitch from sth africa rd blew me away. still have the programe.

Midweek game v Peterborough in 1990 was my first game.

Was only a young'un and sat in the upper loft along with my old man.

The place had a smell and aura to it that no longer exists.

Dont ask me the teams or scorers but I remember on the way home my dad had whatever station would have been talking about football at the time on and heard the mention of the name Ferdinand.

Always sticks in the memory for some reason.

Must have been a different atmosphere back then pulling crowds of 25k plus each week. Bet the ground was a bit different Bush
