FERNANDES just tweeted players in and out tomorrow
Hope so...btw has a shovel actually hit the ground yet in anything that TF has "prophesied" in one of his tweets? Good point about the Mittals not letting Tony completely **** up when their reputation is on the line too. Just wish one of the other backers would take the chair and let Tony step down as he said he would do if he failed.
But do you not think that if the other shareholders were unhappy with TF's chairing of the club they'd gang up on him and kick him out?
They trust him, and so should we.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.
Lol nah nothing in that tweet that you can criticize TF for.......except maybe that for a Chairman he doesnt seem to be in this country much at the moment during an important pre season. Seems to have a lot going on elsewhere. Still as long as he gives out a few tickets and pays for a few fares some will be happy enough. He seems like a generous guy tbh.
That's funny. I expected you to come back with...
@tonyfernandes: Tomorrow full day at QPR (Lie 1 - he knows Tony was there for only 4 hours, that is not a full day). Training ground (Lie 2 - it's still not built yet). New Stadium (Lie 3 a well, where is it). Players in (Lie 4 - no one came in). Players out (Lie 5 - no one left). exeter (Lie 6 - they are actually Exeter with a capital E). And meet some fans who we owe lots to (Lies, lies, lies. We owe the £20 odd fan nothing - oh know wait that was the last chairman who had a total disregard for the supporters).

Can't you put a sock in it. Tony is our chairman and he is staying our chairman. He cares about the club and is doing the best he can. He also admits that he has made mistakes. If he was to leave we would be in a real mess. Don't say that is his fault because we were in a mess when he came. OK we got into the premiership, but we have/had a ground which is unsuitable for the premiership. Our training facilities are totally inadequate and we had no way of bringing along young players. Tony and the board are trying to change all of this, but if he gets wind of moaners like you, he might just give up, though I do not think he is one to give up easily.

If you insist on constantly slating him at least try to get your facts right:

If I remember correctly the last accounts had the £12m we spent on Samba in it and now that comes back into the pot,so there is a 12% reduction of our debt already.

To be fair to TF, he has a lot of other stuff going on and that's why he leaves the pre-season stuff to people like HR and Joe Jordan, the football people. We've added McLaren to the coaching staff to strengthen the backroom team. Tony doesn't need to be around for this.
In time, Vblock, you'll see our club transformed from a laughing stock into a serious player. We'll have one of the top academies and training facilities in the country, as well as a state of the art stadium where top pros and talented youngsters will want to play.

Suppose it all comes down to whether you personally trust Tony and think his long term plan (the one he tweets about anyway) for the club is good. The training ground and Academy is of course a good thing but then lots of clubs have them and their Chairmen arent patted on the back and declared godlike for building something that every well run club should have. Its only because we have such a poor history of being badly run that we dont have them things in place now so that doesnt necessarily promote TF and backers to super chairmen status. The new ground? personally i am not happy to move stadiums but i can understand some fans being happy about it. A large souless multi use venue is something i hope my club would always avoid....maybe i just dont like change :-) . The humiliating failure of the last 2 seasons and the large squad of players on wages we cant as a club sustain without TF and co's help? that pisses me off. Maybe you lot are all right and it will all turn out right in the end regarding finances in the long term but its not guaranteed and i get worried that something that means a lot to me is threatened. Especially by someone who lets face it was looking to buy West Ham and Norwich until we became available. He is not a fan and i dont believe his tweets and interviews when he expresses love and passion for the club, they just come across as patronising and false. So forgive my doubts but thats just the way i feel.
??? i knew he was in Exeter tonight as he stated it yesterday in his tweet (and i commented earlier) that he was flying over for the day. Has to fly back for some TV appearance in Asia i believe so he had to get a lot of QPR business done in the day he was here which is pretty bad tbh. Majority of other clubs Chairmen are around EVERY day to oversee the club while Tony leaves Beard in charge. He does the same for his F1 team as well and his hotel chain and his Airline....lots of pies with others keeping an eye on things. Unfortunately he has put Beard in charge here :-)

Hope so mate but in the meantime forgive my wariness and remember its never good for someone to have 100% support. That dissenting voice in the back is sometimes a boon when feet need to be kept on the ground :-)

The last accounts didnt include the last 2 windows so Samba's fee hasnt been added to it yet.
Firstly, the new stadium will either be full of life or soulless dependent upon the supporters.
Secondly, as TF quite rightly said, there are league one clubs with bigger capacities than ours, hence the need for a new ground if we are to grow.
Thirdly, there are four shareholders owning the club, not just Tony.
Fourth, when Tony decided to buy into QPR he said he quickly realised we were an undiscovered gem.
Fifth, I believe he's passionate about our club. Have you seen how he celebrates our goals, and how unhappy he looks when we lose. He's become one of us.
Sixth, finally, we have a board that is willing to invest in our club. I would bet almost every fan in the country would love to have our owners.
