Rather TF take charge and get the deal done like he did with Remy, than leave it to the others to mess up.

£70k, £80k or even £100k a week ..it doesnt matter to Uncle Tony as Parker is a marketable "name" that he can use...its only money after all and him and his backers have proved they are not shy at ****ing millions up the wall for the sake of a good "name" they can have linked to themselves and their projects. Cesar/Park/Boswinga/Granero they love the higher profile players. Dont get me wrong i think Parker would be an astute player AT THE RIGHT PRICE. Just hope he doesnt end up on a 3 or 4 yeard deal on massive money that we regret. Its a gamble and our board are sh1t at gambling.

Did alright getting Remy in, hopefully it works with Parker, although I'm not sure a game of FIFA would be his cup of tea...

Dont hate him as i think he is actually a half decent fella...but i dont trust him and i worry about my club under the stewardship of a bloke who has failed big time in the first 2 years of the job. He has spent millions to get us relegated and its no use saying it was Hughe's fault. Fernandes appointed Hughes, Fernandes is the boss, buck stops with Fernandes the same as any other top guy at a company.

i dunno right see there are some things in what you say and the finances reported look all wrong for a club this size but on the money side surely for good or bad *that horse has bolted *, last seen last summer when it was a tiny spec in the distance, and on the football side parker is a proven EPL player and a no brainer to massively improve and lead the team on the pitch so i don't think it is the same at all as signing all those midfielders that got relegated last summer imo.

So you are saying we are already millions in debt so that paying over inflated wages to put us even more in debt is ok as it wont make that much difference in the scheme of things? wish you was my bank manager :-) . I suppose that is one way of looking at it...I just hoped that Fernandes would show that he has learned from his past mistakes but i dont think he has at all. "Throw money at it and if it goes t1ts up get out quick" is is mantra which is fine unless you are a lifelong supporter of the club or you are the one that has to pick up the pieces after.

QPR chairman Tony Fernandes is taking charge of his club's bid to sign midfielder Scott Parker, 32, from Tottenham.

I think it means that he will only sign him if the price is right (for the Club) and he is prepared to accept reasonable wages.

I got this from the Times

Tony Fernandes has intervened to negotiate the transfer of Scott Parker for Queens Park Rangers and try to reunite the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder with Harry Redknapp, his former manager. The QPR

like i said in another thread - last jan jenas £20k townsend £5k somewhere around those numbers is where 90% of the squad should be imo.

but really whether the club signs sp or not they still have to pay cesar, bosingwa, park, mbia or you could go through a long list - it is still money - unless you have some strategy to get them off the wages bill and return to some more swansea type model maybe -

because otherwise nearly all the spending will remain exactly the same the same whether sp arrives or not.

Must be doing alright as that's the reason they have to money to gamble with.

Bl00dy hell mate you don't half go on about TF. Can't you give it a rest and actually give him a chance to put things right?

If he's as bad at business as you say he is, how come he's much better wedged up than you
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.
