They have better midfielders than the likes of Granero anyway so cant blame them.

Granero might be usefull if we bring in players like hooper and Samoah. AJ(cough, cough is also a player who would thrive from an intellligent pass. My main worry is that Granero tend to forget that he needs to release the ball a bit quicker. But as implied, if people up front can find their positions, he might be a revelation this season.
Him, Parker and Faurlin could form a decent midfield, imo.

Why waste our time on 'might be alright' and 'could be good' players? He's been a disappointment for one reason or another so lets get rid of him. Its like holding on to some old banger sports car and letting it rot on the drive, saying to the wife 'that could be alright, if I could be arsed to fix it'

We need instant results and players that can jump in and be what we need them to be from the get go.

QPR FC was in total disarray last season, thanks in no small part to a manager who had not given enough thought into his squad plans, but instead chose to just spend money and sign players willy nilly. That added to the stupid lack of a wage structure which saw some players get angry and frustrated at the pay others were receiving. No doubt some thought, I am not working my socks off, so that so and so can get all the glory and big win bonuses'.

Granero is a tidy player who likes to pass the ball for players making intelligent runs into dangerous areas, so who was he supposed to pass the ball too? Zamora, is not the type of player to make those runs even if he was fit enough to do so. Cisse hardly got a starting place. Johnson got injured after a couple of appearances and they never got to play in the side together. Taarabt rarely runs and Mackie & SWP just run and run like headless chickens.

Diakite has boundless energy and will fit in well in a settled team.
But Townsend managed it. He did great despite being dropped into his first ever EPL games in a struggling team not knowing anyone around him - much harder for him than players at the club all year who have top flight experience - Townsend was better than Granero. Jenas managed it too - hadn't played an EPL game in 2 years but looked composed in the middle of the park. Remy managed it - new language, new country, new team, new league, new teammates yet he scored just about every chance he got and looked a cut above. If nobody did well then your point would be correct, but some did. I am not in the dressing room but I think it is probably because they are just better footballers with better attitudes.
