I like Granero if he had the right players around him which involved movement off the ball he would have been exceptional player in my view. That would have allowed him to sit in the centre circle just dictating play keeping the ball moving creating chances

Where do you guys get your numbers from? the fee was undisclosed but it has been reported to be around 9 million euros.....

I don't think Real Madrid would have sold him for 4 million, common. Granero is young and performed well at the highest level.

Well it goes in cycles and the English teams have been performing worse in the CL the latest seasons. Lets not talk about the national team...

Besides you don't have to play in the best league in the world to play at the highest lever.

No thats true you dont. But Granero was never a regular Real Madrid player so lets not kid ourselves and as soon as they signed Sami Khedira and Mesut Özil he never got a look in. Then they signed Fábio Coentrão and the writing was on the wall. Had his chance in the premiership against some top players and failed to show much impact.

The fee was reported as £4mil when he first signed, and increased every month it seems.

Swansea play nice possession based football, move it around on the ground with short passes and create time on the ball. Will suit Grenero perfectly. Our frenetic pace and wide attacking set up was totally different to what he would be used to

With a stable club, good manager and decent, well-organised players around him (IOW mostly what he's lacked at QPR) it wouldn't at all surprise me if he was a big hit at the Liberty.

I have no doubts that he will be a big hit if he goes there. As will Diakite if it's true he's going to Stoke. Will just be the way with our club.

Granero & Diakite are both more than capable of doing well in the Premier League.

QPR FC was in total disarray last season, thanks in no small part to a manager who had not given enough thought into his squad plans, but instead chose to just spend money and sign players willy nilly. That added to the stupid lack of a wage structure which saw some players get angry and frustrated at the pay others were receiving. No doubt some thought, I am not working my socks off, so that so and so can get all the glory and big win bonuses'.

Granero is a tidy player who likes to pass the ball for players making intelligent runs into dangerous areas, so who was he supposed to pass the ball too? Zamora, is not the type of player to make those runs even if he was fit enough to do so. Cisse hardly got a starting place. Johnson got injured after a couple of appearances and they never got to play in the side together. Taarabt rarely runs and Mackie & SWP just run and run like headless chickens.

Diakite has boundless energy and will fit in well in a settled team.

Very well said that man. If you were a student that I were teaching, I'd probablygive you a gold star right now.

Granero will stay. Michael Laudrup said in the Mirror that Swansea already have 7 Spaniards and will not bring more as Swansea is a British club.
