Does anyone south of Watford even drink real ale or is it just me that dosnt get it?
Is it something you have to be over a certain age to appreciate?

To me a drink should be refreshing and reduce your thirst, not make you feel bloated and want to throw up.

I'd rather drink a pint of muddy water than a pint of bishops bum hole or whatever the guest ale of the week is.

Pint of Stella any day thanks.

You are right out of luck there then TW7, Muddy Water was the guest ale last month !

Also agree with Vesp's Peterborough 's a very strange place , her indoors has a friend who moved there to be with a three foot high Mod ! Everytime she mentions visiting I feel my neck getting wider ....
He won't even take me out for a swift beer to get away from the women gossiping and when he does talk, it's about his clothes & his Christmas tree Vespa ........
Luckily they've never offered to let us stay so we get a hotel.

The good thing is he has a thing about going 'Op North' so I never have to worry about getting home from work to see them sitting on me sofa !

PS Vesp's you might know her , 'HAIRY-NIPS MAGS' from the Bush !

"Steve, do you think 25k is a good option when there are indications that within four years, new stadiums on average have increased attendances of 60%?
For us that would mean around 29k."

Stella?...cats ****! Obviously an uneducated palette and the constitution of a five year old.
no point in you having one real beer and missing the match though.
no doubt once you pass puberty you will acquire better tastes.

Try a pint of Butconbe Original Bitter from a bottle, you may well change you mind young man.

Then maybe Wadsworths 6x, if your down my way, South Devon try Harvey's Dreamer, within a week you won't drink Lager ever again as a first choice.
I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

Obviously you need to be an old c**t then is what your saying?

As a 31 year old I think ill pass as post pubescent, but I stick to my original assessment, you need to be either old or northern to enjoy real ale

Thanks for your input old timer

I really tried to get into real ale , because i was told ( by older fellas i was missing out ) , but even after acouple of months ale drinking , i still craved a Peroni, its left me in a good spot ,that if i`m in a pub with only carlsberg /export on tap ,i can opt for a pint of London Pride ( the only ale i had i really enjoyed ), but ultimately give me Peroni for a premium pint or Amstell for a lower pint anyday

Peroni is a cracking beer. Got into that whilst spending a bit of time out in Italy a few years back. Bierra Morreti is pretty much on par, but don't seem to see it much over here.

Only bitter / ale I ever finished was a pint of honey dew but that was under severe protest.
