Think people are reading to much into it. Too many conspiracy theories going on here, it's definitely a very unusual transfer saga but to suggest there is money laundering or the fees quoted are inaccurate is just silly.

This Russian mob have more money than sense, the player forced a move in January and they never wanted to lose him. It then didn't work out and we held out for our money back to let him move back to Russia.........end of!
