  • Samba insists QPR exit was difficult decision as he prepared for Championship battle

The defender returned to Anzhi Makhachkala for £12.5million earlier this week, but insists: "I was not planning to go anywhere"

Christopher Samba has explained the reasons behind his remarkable £12.5million move from QPR after just six months at Loftus Road...http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footba...samba-2032617?

i reckon that somewhere down the line that there is something dodge about this whole set-up. something does'nt sit right with exactly the same fee paid back from the same club. no worthy of the origanal fee...but twice?? come on.

Looks sensible. So he wanted to help us go up, but leaving us is another way to help us go up as we can now buy players. Well done Tony for freeing cash and more importantly for leaving chance for sentiments.

“My family are with me this time in Russia. That was a big part of my conditions.”
Its not as if they told him last time "your family arent allowed to be here". Really weird, but glad to be moving on now.

Was a bit surprised when i found out he was gone, had a feeling he was going to be a beast in the champs. Not bothered anymore though as it looks like we might be getting some sensible signings in. I just hope Hill isnt going to be the main man at the back. Great bloke but we need a bit more.

I agree that we shouldn't be putting so much on Hill next season as for Samba well i guess all we can do is be happy we didn't lose money on him. Seems he's very highly regarded in Russia i remember rumours of us turning down a bid only weeks after we signed him from another Russian side. I like the way Samba is saying its a great deal for the club and he's happy we can use the money to strengthen the squad. If this is true and he was moving to help the club he could do us a right favour by telling Anzi how great Bosingwa, Park, and Barton are

I think there is some truth in this, in so much as i think he was asked to leave to enable us to spend.

Got a feeling it is all coming from Money laundry. That's why they Russians are paying far too much.

It does make you wonder what we actually paid for samba? I can't believe we sold him back exactly what we paid for him. Football doesn't work like that and neither does business.

IMO I think we probably paid £7m for him and the rest was going to be in bonus's if we stayed up. Very strange transaction I must say!

                      Unlikely in this scenario!

I wish posters wouldn't claim we're dodgy in our transfer dealings, there have been countless occasions when I've read something on here and lo and behold a paper carries the exact same

Actually I think we are doing it cautiously which I am happy about. Reading and Wigan are makinga lot of quick signings which I feel not disciplined like us.

I've seen it too Dave, as I'm sure have many of us.

I don't know where the £7million figure comes from we paid the buy out and that was reported as £12.5 million and as they didn't want him to go i can't see why they would have agreed to any less. I rekon we payed the full fee up front that fits in more with the way he left Anzi with rumours he just left training without the coaches knowledge
