  • Some Fans blame Tony, But...

It comes down to the players that let us all down!!
Scroll back through past threads and find fans in uproar when we officially announced the signings of Hoillet, Mbia, Granero etc.
We all wanted Samba, so why do some abuse Tony for making the signing that we all thought would be The Rock for us!!

Still think the decline started when Park was made Captain

Tony has been ill advised and has shown far to much faith in the so called experts . I believe he won't make the same mistakes again , the guy isn't a successful business man by chance . Make no mistake it was Hughes Nd his cronies that f***** us and I personally lay the blame at his door

How can any one blame Tony? His heart is in right place and we are so lucky to have him as chairman.

Like a number of people, I've stood by TF all along because I believe in his vision for our club. Make no mistake, he will succeed and so will our club.

I blame Hughes for the mess we're in along with his entourage.

The problem is he is in a catch 22 situation. If he hadn't of invested people would of said his wrong for the club and has no ambition but he did invest and to be fair he got some good players in but they just didn't perform. Is the Tony's fault ? I think not.

If Hughes turns out to be a success at Stoke (where he's been given a far smaller budget) it does make you wonder how some on here would react to it.

If that happens (and i doubt it tbh) it still wont be Tony's fault. Someone else will be blamed because for a few Tony only has to tweet a bit of good PR and it's man hugs all round :-) tbf i think he may have learnt a few lessons (have to be completely brainless not too though!)

Hughes may well succeed at Stoke but I'm not convinced. Sometimes a person can be right for one club but not another but I genuinely believe Hughes is not a good manager.

Fernandes is a fantastic PR man and, as a result, the majority of our fans believe that he is a God-like figure sent down to save our club. In reality, his record as Chairman leaves a lot to be desired. In fact, I would argue that he's got most of the key decisions wrong - sacking Warnock, sticking with Hughes for far too long, sanctioning big-money signings in order to improve our global profile (ahem...Park Ji Sung)...I could go on and on. That said, I do think that he is well-intentioned and hope that he has learned from his mistakes. One thing's for certain: we need him to stay and continue financing the club because we simply can't do without him.

Even though I blame Hughes, even Redknapp couldn't turn that bunch around last season!!

We all get excited when New Signings are announced, but this summer we can hopefully celebrate the departures as well!!

Due to him making **** up after **** up. Agree with your post Godfather and i find it hilarious how with a bit of PR on social media he has managed to completely brainf@ck people into turning him ito some kind of legendary owner/chairman The guy has been a complete and utter failure as a chairman and owner up to now making mistake after mistake but as long as he says the right things on twitter he gets away with it cos he's a cuddly guy :-)

Good Post , and the only reason we cant do without him now is because he has put our club in that situation

Tony will learn from any mistakes he made previously though.
Would we be in a better position had he not come along?
The club long term is in a much better position now than what we had with Flavio n Eccles Cake at the helm!!

£90 Lotto Trainers, Cashmere Jumpers and owners that didn't give a fu*k about any of us!!!
