  • Samba Diakite not in the squad

Could he be off? A pity, could have been a very good player in a settled environment.
    Kept the faith!

Stoke boss Mark Hughes is pondering a summer swoop for QPR midfielder Samba Diakite, who he signed when as manager of the R's. Hughes brought the 24-year-old to Loftus Road during his ill-fated reign there and is again interested in signing the Mali international as he attempts to improve his Potters squad. Diakite is looking to leave Rangers following their relegation to the Championship and reports say Stoke would be his ideal destination, where he could again work under Hughes. Fulham are also watching Diakite's situation closely and could rival Stoke for his signature. R's boss Harry Redknapp is planning a major overhaul of his squad and it is thought the midfielder, who only made 13 league appearances for them last season, will be among those allowed to leave.

I hope we get rid of him. He's rubbish! But not as bad as Mbia

But disappointed in this. Harry knows more than all of us I'm certain but I don't think SD was given a fair crack of the whip by Harry by any stretch of the imagination, saying that we don't see him day in day out / training etc so have to trust the management teams judgement on this one but again I'm slightly disappointed thought he could of been schooled into a decent player & especially in the CCC.

Stroke and Foolham keeping tabs on him apparently, I for one hope he stays

The guy is a liability and personally I would be very surprised if he ever realises his full potential. Like about half of our squad, I'd be quite happy for Samba Diakite to become someone elses problem!
