This is from a pal at Arsenal. There are 5 clubs all wanting to sign Loic Remy with Arsenal being one of them but no one will take him given his trial don't start until September. Clubs are worried with that hanging over his head its not good for PR and all that. Understandably no one will want to shell out on him given this so he could be made to wait it out till Jan. Lets hope he's found not guilty (providing he actually isn't guilty and not that he gets away with it based on a technicality if true that is).

I still think he'll be off personally before the window closes but he'd tear the Championship apart if he is still with us after the deadline.

I don't think he has even been charged with an offence as yet has he, let alone any trial date set or whatever follows from that?

He is under investigation and from what I understand nothing is going to be decided until September. Under these conditions I don't think any club will want to sign him.

Also only Premiership clubs are being mentioned, I assume this is because he is not allowed to leave the country. He was left out of the French team for the Confederation Cup.

By January we should be flying high ( or I'd hope so with a striker like Remy in the side ) and there's no point in leaving, or a loan till the end of the season.

Not being funny but for greedy reasons its a great situation to be in IMO, but I care for our players so I hope everything is cleared for him
