    he maybe a brilliant player but hes another whos comming to the end of his career,why noy buy a younger player someone we can develop,and then hopefully sell on later for big money

    Sensible thinking Ted, but why not offer Parker one year contract? He will surely try his best to earn extension to his contract.

          Glad your not in charge of rangers then Ted,got to be a brilliant buy to get us out of the championship,committed player and wont be here just to pick up the money,as yousef said short term contract max 2years and the influence he will generate ..priceless !!

                  The answer is........ money.

                  The club (and especially Harry) want to get right back up to the Premier League this season. They don't want to spend time nurturing and developing young talent in the hope that they come good and that they can then impress in the PL if we go up. They would rather get good proven players in that have a good chance to get us where we want to be quickly. I don't necessarily agree with that approach but from a business point of view we really need to be back among the big money if we want that new stadium etc. anytime this century.

                    I'm sure having players like Parker around the place will help develop the young players we have already got as well as players like Faurlin.

                      Please dont compare to Ray. Wilkins was a magician with the ball at his feet, whereas Parker struggles to find a team mate 10 yards away and the nearest he comes to a forward pass is to go sideways.

                            spurs fans are sick of him, he will be ok for the championship but i reckon it'll end in tears again.

                            just shows our scouting system is non existent. we seem to have learnt nothing from last year

                              IF he arrives now as is rumored then within 45 minutes of his first game everyone will be wondering what all the negativity was about because he is excellent and miles better than the current CMs.

                              When I say everyone of course I mean the 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 0000000001% of fans who actually read message boards
