I don't like people like Barton, they think they can take liberties then hide when people are looking for him. Stubbing cigars in kids faces,picking on youngsters in clubs is all his good for,put him toe to toe with a decent size geezer and see how big he is then.

Why bother to pay him off? Just sling him in the reserves for a year or so and see if he wants to terminate his contract at some point.

You really think he would care if he was not playing and picking up his 80k a week or whatever he is on?.

I would play him every minute of every game and make him earn that cash.Let him play cr@p and get the crowd on his back,and Deputy Dawg should come out and state why he is playing him 90 minutes of every game.Drive the tw@t out of the club by making him look the #### he is.

The kid was a youth team player and he hardly done A guy twice his size, he took a snide swing at him and the big lump got held back by 3 people and a good job otherwise JB would of found his teeth and nose in different places

Not that this has anything to do with football, but I wouldn't underestimate JB's abilities in a ruck. He grew up in a tough city and can obviously handle himself.

He threw a headbutt at Company when he got sent off at Man City, although he knew he was safe from a reprisal. In hockey everybody would have just stepped aside and let them "go". Too bad that doesn't happen in football! It would have been very interesting to see if JB would have still been "game"!

Hes got 2 years left on his contract I think if we called his bluff and left him in the reserves he would get bored of it before we do and he would leave without a payoff just on a free transfer. Stick him in reserves if he don't want to play and wont go voluntarily and in my view he would be off come January.
