Expensive? I trust you're aware of his agents current demands for him then are you?
Last pay day? You have no idea, nor do I - so rubbish comment.

Parker is a far better CM option than any we currently have and any we will get.
    Exactly this....!

33 years old, on good money now. You don`t have to be Doctor Hawking to understand that he will cost us and that this will be his last big one.

I'd love it if we got Parker! He's a grafter, a leader and the exact kind of player we need. I'm sure loads of other Premier League teams will want him though

This is a player who was playing week in week out towards the end of last season in a team fighting for 4th in the Premiership. Arguably a top 4 team. Yet all of a sudden he is not good enough for QPR in the Championship. Some of you need a reality check you really do. He is still good enough for the Premiership, would be immense to have in the Championship more especially at away games in winter when some won't fancy it.

Above all though he is 10 times better than what we currently have. So if he would improve the team how can people not want him?
Played about half of the games last season - that´s true. Probably what we, tops, could expect from him if we get him. He is not getting any younger and had a really bad achilles injury back in 2012. Not the player he was before that injury. Also wonder why should he drop a division a WC year if he wasn`t doing it for the money. His affection for Harry - don´t think so. The love for our club - nah. IF we can get him for 2-3 million, a maximum 2 year pay as you play deal - then yes. If not - no thanks.

What's interesting is the Board appear desperate for us to go straight back up, the current moves for Simpson and Mclaren and now going for Parker confirm this imho. They aren't messing about with the view taken by some posters a few months ago that we build for the future and regroup and take 3/4 yrs and go up "properly" with a young, hungry and talented team, board appear not interested in that.

They have no interest in the Swansea model but instead want instant success, reckon the bigger picture is to go straight back up and then spend to stay up, probably persuaded HR to stay for one more year.

Whatever happens, next season is going to be facscinating.

If this is the model the board have then Parker fits in perfectly.

Parker is a top pro, would be a great signing. Anyone remember Liverpool vs Tottenham a year ago? Fighter with a big F!

Would rather have huddlestone who is also being let go!

In Fairness to Parker think his injury record was bad last season because he put himself out for England in the Euros. He got injured playing for Spurs before the end of the season but went to the Euros not fit and basically played through the pain barrier and unfit for England. This carried over into the season just gone where he missed the early part of it due to not having any time to rest and recover from the one he picked up at the end of the last season or that is how I remember it.

He is not a player that springs to my mind as injury prone

Not sure about Huddlestone; other then when he broke in the team at Wolves has never really played regularly. Cant make up my mind if I would want him or not and cannot recall him really dominating or taking a game by the scruff of the neck. Jury would be out for me
